It was a real pleasure to have dined for three nights at this wonderful restaurant.

Service: excelent! The restaurant is owned by a family. In the kitchen is the mother of Barbara, who is in charge of the living room and the grandmother of a friendly young boy who helps in both sides, kitchen and living room.

Ambience: very cozy! the site is decorated with antique items and in the tables are vinyl records. Being a small place makes it lovely.

FOOD: THE BEST! the three nights we tried different dishes and all were delicious. The pasta is the best we have ever eaten.

I recommend this fantastic restaurant to anyone visiting Siena and Tuscany, not at all tourist and you can fell at home.

Thanks Barbara and family for those wonderful nights!

Located just inside the city wall, halfway between il Campo and the station. Very small so pre-book. They turned a lot of people away whilst we were there but we didn't feel pressured to finish quickly. The waiter even turned people away who wanted to eat outside as the opening and closing of the door would cause a draught to the customers already inside!

We ate early and got excellent service but once the place was full, service for other tables seemed a little slower. An eclectic mix of interior decor and crockery that has seen better days but don't let that put you off because the food was perfect. Ribs come highly recommended as does the amazing homemade tiramisu - (the best we tasted in Siena).
Very friendly owners. We wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

Don't like leaving negative reviews but this experience was poor. We were offered a table and then after initially ordering waited an hour am a half for our main course and had to then ask for the wine twice. Beef was tough and pasta over cooked and bland. Owner said sorry that his staff member didn't turn up but professional organisations would either have staff in reserve to call on or not take in more customers than they can cope with.

My wife was unwell, so I dined solo,I had seen this little place airliner in the day and went back for a quick dinner. I chose the local made short pasta with wild porcini in olive oil. It was superb. Sitting outside with a beer and that dish was a great start to eating in Siena. Well recommended mother and son restaurant. Very cheap as well and service was polite and fast.

We ate here our last night in Siena and if we had stayed longer we would have returned. Excellent food, friendly, personable service and great value for your money.
