We had to wait whilst a private baptism took place, but it was worth the wait. The frescos covering almost every inch of the walls and ceilings are magnificent. It was part of our 'Si' pass which is valid for 3 days BUT only allows entry to each of the 6 locations once.

. . . it's hard to tear yourself away. It is just like being in a kaleidoscope and not knowing where to look next. Every surface is painted from the floor to the roof and it is difficult to take it all in on a single visit. I really recommend looking around for one of the large mirrors available so that you can look down into the mirror and not up to the ceiling. It would be quite easy to topple over backwards while admiring the artwork!

The baptistry is well worth a visit if you have bought the 12 euro pass. Some excellent artwork and painted wooden screens, but it is small and there is not a lot to see.
