Absolutely a beautiful church and to learn about st Catherine of Siena is very interesting. They don't want pictures taken I learned after taking two of them which will be memories for ever.
It is a must see. We were here on July 14th and I'm so glad we took the tour.
You must have a tour guide to really appreciate the country.

Well worth a detour to get a feel of peace in the the arched entrance, even if Murals of the passages of St Catherine's life are not your thing enjoy the peace and tranquility

The Casa di santa Caterina is set in a quiet cloister with a small chapel. There is no entry charge but if you want to use the toilet facilities it will cost you €1.

Don't miss this beautiful gem. The chapel is well maintained and just beautiful probably because it is still in use. You can learn the story of Santa Caterina, the patron saint of the city. She was the 24th of 25 children!

We were lucky to get to hear Mass in the chapel, the feeling of tranquility was very marked especially when in what was St Catherine's bedroom but is now a small chapel
