An excellent location in Siena and a very beautiful hotel. Professional and friendly receptionists and a most comfortable stay. We were only there for the one night, unfortunately but will try to return. We stayed in the attic room ( large and airy despite the name) which was very romantic and what an amazing view over the Tuscany hills - a dream!

We had a recent (Sept 05) trip through Italy - with 2 nights at this Pensione. Without doubt this is the nicest Hotel we stayed in. We have stayed in more 'upmarket' places in the past - but for sheer ambience this place is the best.

What a stunning view - if you are going to stay there - you MUST and I mean must take a room with the garden view. The view out the window to the rolling hills of Tuscany has to be seen to be believed.

The room were clean, airconditioning was fine (we hardly needed it - Sept) and the bathrooms were excellent. The Hotel is about a 5-10min walk from the Cathedral and Piazza and is in a lovely part of town. Staff all spoke english very well and were very helpful and informative,

Absolutely nothing to complain about with this place. Really very good value. It deserves the 5 stars (out of 5) that we and all the other reviewers have given it.

I have travelled a lot and stayed in many wonderful hotels. The room we had at this hotel was the greatest room I have ever seen. We were in the "garden suite" and the room was not only big, but antique and wonderfully decorated. The room opened onto a magnificent garden and terrace. The hotel was unbelievable value for money, perfect position in Siena, and the people and food were great.

We stayed for 3 nights here and it was excellent from every perspective-great location, absolutely wonderful, helpful and friendly staff, lovely public rooms, incredible garden and view, delicious full breakfasts included and darling room. As we look back on our time in Italy, our stay in Siena and in this hotel are favorite memories. There is nothing negative to say!

Wow, you are amazed as soon as you walk into this hotel! It is an old palace that has been converted to a hotel. The rooms are very charming, with antique furniture and high ceilings. And by antique, I don't mean old and boring. This place feels like a medieval palace. And the location is prime. It is within the city walls and within 5 minutes of the Campo. The service is very good and unpretentious. And the outdoor patio area, where the delicious breakfasts are served, is beautiful, with its views of the Tuscan countryside and courtyard fountain. Siena is amazing in itself, but a stay at this hotel made our trip even more memorable...

On the advice of Tripadvisor, we stayed here for two nights during our recent Italy vacation. This hotel lives up to its billing.

The first great feature is that the hotel features free private parking for guests. Parking is at a premium in Siena, so if you've rented a car to visit the vineyards and surrounding area in Tuscany, this can be a huge benefit.

Upon arriving, the hotel staff was exceedingly friendly and polite. The hotel itself is styled after an old 16th century Palazzo, and is only a short walk to the main areas of old Siena. There is also a great morning breakfast served in the gardens behind the hotel, which is situated on a hill and has a great overlook of the countryside behind it. There are also three computers with free high-speed internet access to help you stay connected to home. The rooms were large and well apppointed.

Overall, if you are looking for a good Siena hotel, this is a great option.

I stayed at Palazzo Ravizza for three days with two friends during the July 2005 Palio. The hotel is beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in the garden. The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly, and meals in the restaurant were fantastic. We awoke each morning to clanging chapel bells, and knew straight away we were not at home (and loved it).

The atmosphere is conducive to meeting other guests, which makes the experience all the more interesting.

I appreciate that there are 3 computers to send e-mails from at no charge as well.

The a/c did not really work, but we didn't care about that, given how lovely the place is.
