Great place to stay in Siena. The rooms were old but tastefull decorated. You felt like you were in another time which we loved. The location was good and it was easy to walk everywhere. Our favorite thing about the hotel was the wonderful yard/seating area with fabulous views out back. The breakfast was included and very good. Would stay there again!!

The Hotel was just great. First of all the palace is an old building in the perfect Siena style. When I say old, I don’t mean that the building is going to fell apart or that it has cracks on the wall, I mean that is the place you want to stay in in Siena to fell yourself really in the past and to breath the typical medieval air you can feel in Siena. The hotel has a garden outside when in hot days you can breakfast and enjoy a lovely view. We stayed there on a great April day where there were 20 degrees outside so we sit there in the evening and had some drinks, it was just very peaceful and relaxing. The Hotel is close to the city centre, 5 minutes from the dome and 10 minutes from piazza del Campo. The wifi is free and on the bar you have a decent selection of drinks and wines. There’s also a bookshop inside. The staff is kind and really helpful in answering all questions providing suggestions about routes, restaurants and so on. On the next day the let us leave the luggage there for free till the evening. I strongly recommend this hotel, I didn’t find any flaws at all.

Only complaint is that not every room has a shower. Ours didn't and I would have asked for one if I had known. Beautiful views, GREAT breakfast, helpful staff. Near some restaurants. In the walls of Siena. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a shower

Palazzo Ravizza was our second stop on our honeymoon and it could not have been a more pleasant one! Siena has always had a special place in my heart since I studied abroad there in college, and I was eager to share those memories with my husband. In my opinion it is one of the best Tuscan cities (along with San Gimignano). And Palazzo Ravizza did not dissapoint the high expectations my husband and I had!

The room is HUGE! It is even big for a typical American hotel, but it is especially large for a typical European hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful! It is a historic mansion that has retained it's originality. So you feel like you are staying in a medevial mansion. The views all around the hotel are splendid. We did not have a garden facing room, but rather a street view room but it was still wonderful and authentic! It was great to look out our room during the day and see the parades march through as they practiced for il Palio! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was the biggest bathroom I have had in any hotel in Europe! With both a separate tub and shower. It was also very clean! (And I have extremely high standards in regards to cleanliness! Clorox wipes and tilex/Mr. Clean are a staple on my packing list!)

Outside of the room, the house itself was beautiful to explore with many sitting/living areas that maintained the authenticity of the home.

And then, the garden! I could have spent the whole day here! Pictures do not do the view of this garden justice! It is literally "Under the Tuscan Sun" and it is phenominal! I actually looked forward to getting up and sitting in the beautiful garden!

The breakfast was also fantastic! Typical Italian style (yogurt, fruit, granola, meats, cheeses, tomato, etc) but it was all so fresh each day, with the BEST fresh squeezed blood orange juice and great capuccinos. One of my favorite meals!

The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful! They were willing to help you with anything you needed and offered great opinions and suggestions. And they actually took time to help you! One day they helped plan out our route to drive around the Chianti region and even told us what vineyards, etc to stop at. It was the best!

The location of the hotel was great. We had a car and they have on site parking which is easily accessible. Siena city center itself is so small, that everything was within 5-15min walking distance.

We also found a little gem of a restaurant just down the street called Due Porte. It was our go to most nights we were there. It is a family business and the restaurant is great! The food is delicious, they have beautiful outside seating overlooking the Duomo and the service is the best! Ask for Aldo! We plan to go back, just to visit Due Porte and our favorite server Aldo! :)

We loved our stay here and when we return to Siena we will definitely return to Palazzo Ravizza!

Great place to stay in Siena! We stayed in the tower room and loved the long hallway leading to the room. By far the best part about this room was the view! Breathtaking countryside views. Also loved the garden setting in the back, the breakfast, clean room, and very friendly staff. Staff helped us with restaurant choices and we had our best dinner while in Siena. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel in great location. Garden and sitting area in back looking out over the Tuscan hillside is breathtaking. Very clean, excellent and friendly service, delicious breakfast. A bit of a splurge, but well worth it!
