We have just spent 6 fabulous nights at this lovely hotel as a group of 3 couples travelling though Italy. Our rooms were great, food good, but it was the staff who made this such an excellent place to enjoy Tuscany from. Antonio was so helpful with his reviews and recommendations, and his sense of humour added to our dining experiences. Roberto was the perfect waiter, attentive informative and always smiling. Albert in the bar was terrific, loved his Gin and Tonics! The music choice from his bar was eclectic, loud and always wonderful. A fabulous place ! We couldn't recommend Hotel Garden highly enough.

What a fantastic hotel with a view to die for overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The room with a small outside terrace was clean and comfortable and up to date. The breakfast was really good and plenty of choice. The small bar in the evening had plenty of atmosphere and was nice to be in. Siena was a twenty minute walk or a bus ride and was wonderful. The pool was clean and plenty of sun beds. Love it love it love it

Room Tip: Book now to avoid disappointment

Returned yesterday after 10 days at the Hotel Garden and have been reading what other folks have been saying before posting this review. Based on our own experience we fully agree and endorse all the positive feedback and the 'constructive' observations, that give the hotel management the opportunity to address individual items and general improvements, so please read these other reviews....however we cannot agree with the negatives posted in some reviews. In our view the thing that gives the Hotel Garden a 4 star rating is its staff....from management through reception, restaurant, bar, cleaning staff...every single one was smiling, courteous, engaging and so so friendly and helpful...so if you have any issues just approach them....far better to do this than writing negative reports on TripAdvisor. Maximo, Atla, Giampero, Roberto, Antonio, Georgiana, Petra, Margaurite, Egl??? and others, thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable

Very convenient for us to combine visiting Siena and the region of Chianti. Easy access by car without entering the city center but also at a good and safe walking distance to downtown. Additionally after a little trouble with the shower at our arrival late in the evening the staff fixed it while we had our first breakfast which they converted to a long brunch by leaving a bottle of Prosecco and a tray of fruits in our room as compensation for the inconvenience, Nice.

Very average hotel despite having the potential to be fabulous. Everything in need of some care and attention.Plants wilted, patio tiles cracked, parasols broken etc.
Requested up grade , however room in main house that we were allocated was very small -hardly any room to walk round bed and no where to put luggage. Head board of bed v grubby
Bathroom needed up dating. Saff on the whole pretty unfriendly.
Food very average.
Great location with out standing views over to Siena

With the understanding that parking and driving in old Siena is extremely limited, a stay at the "Hotel Garden" was an excellent choice, with a public bus stop located just off the property. Taxi service, was another option. But these slight challenges aside, it was a beautiful place to spend two memorable evenings at the end of August.
Our modest room with a comfortable king-size bed was clean. The bathroom with a stand-up shower stall was extremely tight. But for a busy stay during good weather months, the spacious grounds with walking paths, several multi-level terraces, tennis courts, and a large lovely outdoor pool, by far compensated for the tight quarters. The physical space would serve a family with children well.
With a ground level room in the annex, we really enjoyed the secluded little patio attached to our room for quiet time to read, write, and chat. When our late afternoon drinks and complimentary snacks under an umbrella on a main terrace were interrupted by a short shower, we were treated to a panoramic sky show with changing light and a closing rainbow. By the way, the terrace view included both the skyline of the towers of the old city as well as the layered Tuscan mountains beyond. We again enjoyed the terrace area for enhancing the ample buffet breakfast with its array of something for everyone's taste.

Room Tip: Location of a room on the first floor annex expands the feel of the compact room space into the outd...
