Owner description: The magnificent complex of the Cathedral of Siena, its Duomo, houses a series of some of the most important monuments of the European artistic panorama. With its more than one million visitors every year, the Cathedral without a doubt represents the fulcrum of the entire complex, while other significant elements include the Crypt, the Baptistery and the Museo dell'Opera, all part of the impressive mass formed by the "Duomo Vecchio" (Old Cathedral), and the "Duomo Nuovo" (New Cathedral). Visitors will travel along a memorable itinerary to the discovery of self and the truth of faith through culture and art, the result of more than a millennium of Western history.

Don't missing seeing this cathedral...it is one of the most beautiful churches you will ever see. Be sure to purchase the combination ticket for the church, the museum, the baptistry and biblioteca piccolmini. They are all worth a visit

Magnificent construction and art. From the marble floors to the frescoed ceilings, this is a must see while in Tuscany and Siena.

Located at the highest point of the city, the Duomo is a beautiful and not-to-be-missed site for tourists coming to Siena. The exterior resembles the Florentine duomo, but the interior is more spectacular. Unfortunately, there is an entry fee. I recommend purchasing the combo ticket that includes the Duomo museum, if only for its rooftop view. You can sit up there for as long as you like and take in the breathtaking views of the city and countryside.

The floors are only uncovered in September & October and they are amazing. The details in the marble are so intricate.

A breathtakingly beautiful monument to faith, to art and to Siena itself. From the multicolored buff and white facade to the striped pillars inside, the floors made up of narrative mosaics and elaborate pulpit, the bibliotheca Piccolomini, it is hard to say where to begin. i didn't pay 20 Eueos to climb to the roof and interior of the cupola, but friends who did say it is breathtaking.
