I was passing by this shop on a visit to Siena, and popped in on a whim because I liked the look of the shop.
I was totally drawn into trying some ham and then some balsamic vinegar. I decided to buy both.
A small amount of ham (4 slices) was 8 euro, and the balsamic was 36 euro. The man serving behind the counter promised that both were high quality.
I'm a bit peeved that since going into that shop, I've since seen much lower prices for both products.
The Italian website of the balsamic maker (the actual people who make and sell the balsamic vinegar) list their sale price as 16 euro.
A 20 euro mark up for one product at this shop!!
I've since seen that most if the reviews on here complain of high prices, so I'm not the only one.
For me its to late. I was cheated.
Don't make the same mistake! AVOID!
