Can't vouch for the view, but we chickened out as the stairs are so narrow you are not allowed anything but your camera. All bags must be checked, although we were allowed to carry water. Started up and although we could have managed the stairs, (climbed plenty of other towers), once you start there are no rest stops or even niches to step into, so just felt too uncomfortable to continue, knowing that if we wanted to stop and catch our breath that we would be holding up the people below as they can't get past. Looking at the photos, the view of the square is lovely, but this is the only climb we have backed out of because of the claustrophobic atmosphere. And yes they do rush you, even though there weren't many people.
