My wife and I had lunch here on a day trip to Siena. Each of us ordered a pasta dish. The portions were quite generous, the service was prompt, and the price was right. The pasta had a delicious home-made flavor and the ingredients tasted very fresh but the food could have used just a little more panache.

We ate here after seeing the great reviews on the site and were not disappointed. Started with the spinach involtini which was amazing! The lasagna we had was also great. My girlfriend and I split a meat dish after which was ok but the lasagna and involtini more than made up for it. The house win was really great too. Highly recommend this place

We visited the place because of good ratings on trip advisor.
Lasagne was perfect. Unfortunately the rest was medium quality (grilled chicken and veel). Complete disaster was tagliatelle with asparagus.. bland taste.
The place is not ready to host kids- kids menu is missing..
Overall- the final bill was extremely high for that quality.
It looks like this place is not interested in good food and hospitality and looking for easy quick money from the tourists.

We recently spent a week in Siena. We ate at La Sosta three times partly because it is very close to where we stayed but mostly because the food was very good and the service was accommodating. One time there were 10 people in our group and they went to some trouble to seat all of us at one table.

The menu is quite varied and with a group of 10 we sampled much of it. No duds.

I highly recommend it.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who is a local and we weren't disappointed.

Dined inside where it was cool. Outside it was in the mid-30's.

Menu was quite extensive and dishes were reasonably priced. Most antipasto Euro 8, primi - Euro 10, secondi - Euro 12-17 and Contorni -Euro 5.

Our shared antipasto was an aubergine roll with buffalo mozzarella, tomato and balsamic covered in a very light filo pastry - delicious. Our secondi was tagliata di mango which was cooked to perfection and was delicious.

Reasonably extensive wine list.

Service was very friendy and very efficient.
