We stumbled into this place by accident. The net at our hotel in tuscany was terrible so i had no time to research where to eat on our day trip to Siena. It was rainy after we parked and walked into the main square. I suggested we wander down some side streets and see what looked good. We walked by and they didn't look too busy and the menu looked great so we went in. The wine bar is lovely and the restaurant is charming. Our servers were gracious and charming to us and we had wonderful meal there with all four of us loving our choices. The wine we had by the glass was excellent as were the cappacino's. This place is owned by a owner of a top winery in Montalcino i found out later and his passion for food and wine are clear in this place. They helped to make our day in Siena just perfect. Highly recommend you try them for lunch or a drink if you are in Siena. They are just about a half block or block off the main square.

We came across this restaurant one evening, but didn't realise they didn't open for another 30 minutes. The staff were very gracious, interrupting their own meal to seat and serve us early. Great food and excellent wine suggestions. Returned for lunch a few says later, the food was equally good but the service a little slow due to a busy day

On a recent visit to Siena, we stopped in at Casato Enoristorante for lunch. It made us sorry we couldn't be around for supper to try the tasting menu! Lunch was fabulous! My husband concentrated so much on his dish that he can't even remember what I had (it was pici con cinghiale – pasta with wild boar sauce). He ordered risotto with oysters and spumante but they were out of oysters. Instead (after his approval) they substituted risotto with ricci (sea urchin). This was a sublime dish. The wine list was outstanding. This lovely place is just off the famous Campo but was not clogged with tourists. On the other hand, we felt the menu prices were not particularly high, and considering the quality of the food, were an actual bargain. Highly recommended!

Excellent Tuscan food! We both had a pork dish meat perfectly cooked and presented, the side dishes of baked potatoes with rosemary and grilled vegetables were to die for!! We didn't have wine with our meal but the wine list is extensive including the famous Brunello wines. We didn't have any room left for deserts as the meal was a good size, they make great coffee too!!
