“Beautiful rooms and views”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Such an impressive place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are massive, beautiful and clean, ours had a pretty stunning view down the hill to the city walls. Great location, close to the Piazza Il Campo. Very generous breakfast, all fresh and all yummy.

I was a young solo traveller and I think couples and older couples would be more suited to this b&b.
The owner and son and wife were lovely an very welcoming.
The breakfast was lots of variety.
The rooms are very large and so are the bathrooms. I had the orchid room and faced the street. It was too noisy to have the window open and the room didnt have aircon but i didn't get hot. There was no fridge but the was coffee making facilities.
Your room is serviced each day.
The owners obviously take pride of this place and take you bag up the stairs for you.
Although its not modern if that's what your looking for font stay here, it's a genuine b&b Tuscan style.

The owner and his son and wife run this small BnB and it's great! Location was fantastic- very near the main square. Breakfast was yummy with lots of choice, and they were all very helpful and nice! We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Besides all of the accolades from other reviewers (all true), I have to praise the helpfulness of the owners. They spent hours making reservations for us, printing bus schedules, etc. One other charm was entering from the narrow city street and retreating to our room on the other side of the building overlooking gardens and greenery. A lovely stay. Highly recommended.

I lived in these apartments before they become a hotel. I would say that I am very happy that they have guarded the same spirit and the same beauty of the place, and just restored these large apartments so typical of Tuscany, with beautiful frescoes on the ceilings. It's a bit pricey but the staff is very nice and it is good to stay there. I highly recommend it to all travelers who would drop their bags for a few days in Tuscany...

Room Tip: I recommend the double-room with the view on the tuscany campaign, very sunnay and charming, ideal t...

The B&B is ideally situated right in the middle of Siena, about 200 mtrs from the central place Il Campo. It is part of an old palazzo, recently renovated and adjusted to modern standards (including free wifi). It has 6 large rooms on the first floor, each with a different name of a flower. Although the entrance of the building is in front of the Via di Pantaneto, a road with less traffic, nearly all rooms are at the rear with a splendid view at Siena’s countryside. To enter the B&B you have to climb 20 steps to reach the first floor, so the B&B is less accustomed to handicapped people. There is no elevator, but the owners (a young couple) are very willing to help you with your luggage. They are very cordial and extremely helpful. Coming back from San Gimignano (a plcae not to be missed!) on the day before our departure, we found half a bottle of Tuscanian wine (vinsanto) and typical Tuscanian cookies (cantuccini) to soak in it. Very attentive. Check in/check out went very smoothly. The owners do not live in the same building and are only a few hours a day at present, which did not bother us at all. When you arrive at Siena train station it is recommendable to take a taxi (12 – 13 euro). Coming by motor car you have to leave it outside the city centre.
We had a large room, called the tulip room, with a large cupboard, a flatscreen TV (only channels in Italian language), and a large double bed with two small bed tables. There are coffee/tea facilities, but there is no fridge nor air-conditioner. The only negative point is the mattress, which is rather hard and in the long run slightly painful. This is because the mattress is a fairly flat one on a hard wooden or hard board bed base. We solved this problem by putting a folded blanket under the sheet what turned out to be very satisfactory. The double glazed window gives a magnificent view at Siena’s countryside. The large bathroom is diagonally opposite the room and has a washstand, a shower cubicle with a very good shower and a bidet, There are several kinds of amenities. Room and bathroom are impeccable clean as is the whole B&B.
The cold breakfast buffet is, according to Italian standards, very good: four kinds of bread (only white), several kinds of yoghurt, meat and cheese products and drinks. The coffee machine contains five kinds of coffee. Of course, there is tea too.
We booked the B&B through B&B-planet and paid 75 euro a night, breakfast included, which is very reasonable. The B&B has also its own website. All in all, it is very recommendable and we hope to return once.
Tip: Diagonally opposite the B&B (at number 32) there is an excellent Ristorante Indiano called Namastey India; very cheap.

We spent two nights at Palazzo Bulgarini and had a great experience. The room was set on a hillside and had a balcony and an incredible view of the countryside. It also had lovely wood furnishings and painted ceilings. The b&b was under new management, and the owners were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was fresh baked cornetti, salumi, bread, cereal, yogurt, etc and was very good. The location near the duomo and campo was perfect.
