Description: After a lot of workings a new management in one of the most beautiful corners of Siena. A small courtyard which is accessed through a small gate in Vicolo del Campaccio 2, next to the Sanctuary of Santa Caterina, will take you on a culinary journey in the name of tradition and modernity. Two young people with a great desire to experiment and invent propose a local and well taken bistrot with a various menu changing with the seasons. A lot of fish (always fresh) but also great meat, pasta and homemade bread, sweet temptations in name of quality. Self-production and looking for products strictly from our own organic and sustainable.

Discovered this lovely restaurant whilst walking Sienna. .near the Piazza Dominico. Downstairs, shady and cool with excellent food and friendly service. Not expensive. Would recommend.

This place is a hidden gem. In a small alley near Santa Caterina, you could walk by the doorway and never know it is there. The food here was great. The Osso Bucco was delicious and the steak salad was excellent. The pastas, especially the Salt and Pepper Pici(the other was the wild boar pasta), were tasty. A great experience.

We decided to try this restaurant as it was highly ranked on Tripadvisor. Local people recommended it too, so we gave it a go.
At first we were impressed with the really simple, quite cosy atmosphere. We had booked a table because we were told the Campaccio was really popular and it was during Christmas hols, thus we expected it to be extremely busy.
As soon as we got in we realised we were the only customers.
It took a while before a lazy waiter decided to greet and serve us. After having a look at the menu we realised there was not much choice and we decided to go for the most popular choices (according to TAs reviews) - we tried mixed antipasti, wild boar tagliatelle (typical of Siena) and some ravioli - we chose house wine (in Tuscany "vino della casa" is generally quite good). The antipasti (starters) were really little (definitely not good value/money), the ravioli were OK but nothing exciting, and the tagliatelle were overcooked.

We left the Osteria disappointed and still hungry - not much point in trying anything else.
Some of the locals told us that the restaurant has recently changed management - if confirmed, this might be the reason of the scarce crowd and quality.

Never ever again :(

great little hidden gem. No, really. It's really hidden. It will be hard to find via google maps but well worth it. Amazing Wild Boar Pasta. I literally had to order two!

This terrific restaurant was recommended by the folks at nearby Albergo Bernini. It was just down the street and around the corner, but we could not have done better by walking miles! The service was great, and all our selections from their menu were perfectly prepared and presented. This was our introduction to Sienese cuisine, and we couldn't have done better.
