“Very Modern!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2011

This B&B is very comfortable and modern. Our room was very spacious and clean and had a big private bathroom and shower. The breakfast was very tasty and you could eat out on the balcony as well. The owner Pierro was very hospitable as was his co-worker Sami. The hotel is right outside the gates to the fortress area and there are some good
eateries close-by. Parking is an issue since you have to park on the street and spots were hard to find.
A great place to stay to enjoy beautiful Siena!

Room Tip: Many stairs-may not be suitable for older people or people with mobility issues.

It is near the city walls and pretty close to the city BUT it is a sterile place with small rooms and no character. Really is a small hostel-hotel rather than a B and B. Parking is possible near the hotel but there is none provided. Our first room was on a busy street and quite noisy. We switched to one one the inner courtyard with one window that was clouded as all the other rooms had to walk through this courtyard to access the other hall.

Sami & Piero were good hosts. The breakfast was by far the best on our trip. It was an outdoor option or indoor..lovley. Rooms were comfy and clean.
You do need transportation to get to this B&B. There are numerous stairs so probably not good for an older adult. Parking was inconvenient as we had to park a good 10-15 minutes up the street and down the road.
All in all great B&B.

Room Tip: Clean, comfortable

Bed & Breakfast Camollia is very clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff are friendly but with little English . It is in an excellent location just outside the city walls of Siena -just seconds from Porta Camollia- and very close to Piazza Gramsci where intercity and local buses stop. As Siena is so small, everything is within easy walking distance. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our overnight stay here.

Nice modern bedroom and bathroom all kept spotlessly clean. Marco, his father and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Lots of choice from self-service continental breakfast buffet including excellent automatic freshly-ground coffee machine. Fast WiFi connection (secured). Easy to get to using escalator/travelator system in new shopping mall immediately opposite Siena train station followed by 5 minute walk. Good location, ten minute walk to centre.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms are at the rear

I would find it hard to find fault with B&B Camollia. We had a triple room and it was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished & decorated in modern, minimalist style. The location is excellent - just outside the city walls and an easy walk to all Siena's attractions. The added bonus is that if you have a car (as we did) you can find free parking close by and the location is excellent to get in and out of Siena onto the highways. Siena is a great base to see many other places nearby. The staff at Camollia were friendly & helpful and the free WI-FI internet access is a real bonus. Breakfast was a little haphazard at times (largely because several people had evidently breakfasted before us and left lots of mess & dishes and little food) - but on the whole was pretty good. There's a nice little breakfast room and you just help yourself. I would highly recommend this place. It is extremely good value for money.

Most tourists just visit Siena on a one day trip and inexpensive accomodation may be hard to find. However, Bed and Breakfast Camollia, although just outside the old city walls, is a very nice place, with an excellent breakfast buffet and a nice personal touch. Rooms are a bit small, but very clean. The B&B is situated about 500 metres from the exit of the new escalators, that start at the railway station, saving you the trouble to either climb the hill or find out about the local bus network.
