“Place to Eat While Visiting Siena”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013

Restaurant just off the main square of Siena. Our party of 6 had a wonderful lunch on the outside patio/sidewalk. This restaurant was recommended by out Tauck Italian guide. Very friendly staff and excellent food.

“Fabulous Italian Cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

A group of 13 of us were staying near Valdano Figline and were driven over to Siena for lunch. We walked around through the beautiful plaza and then stopped at OSTERIA LE LOGGE DUESIENA for lunch. What a place! The food was incredible. The service was very special. We enjoyed a beautiful experience there, with sun streaming through the beautiful glass doors and windows. After lunch, the waiter walked us across the way to their private wine cellar and took us down under ground to view their collection. We felt so special. It was a great way to end our meal, to be given this special treatment, and to feel as if we had experienced something most tourists do not get to see. Highly recommend the food, the ambiance, the price and the wine!

“Charming dining experience showcasing local cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

This venue was recommended to us by a local who said it was were locals choose to eat! He was right.
We arrived at 630pm and managed to secure the last booking available at 7pm. Thank goodness as people were lining up all night to get a table... You need a reservation at this place!
The charm of this restaurant is the handwritten menu which changes daily to showcase the local produce available fresh each day.
The food is creative and tasty. The prices slightly higher than elsewhere in Siena.
Service was somewhat odd... We noticed they seated the locals and Italians inside, whilst the tourists were seated at tables outside.
Waitstaff could be offhand at times, but you get the feeling they get away with it as the food is so good... And they know it!

“Well worth the visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

Had luncheon for fifteen in the lovely dining room. Food was excellent as was the service. Perhaps a little pricey but well worth it. Server rejected a bottle of wine I had accepted as "corked". Much appreciated.

“Very disappointing rip-off”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013

The hotel we were staying at recommended this as an excellent place to eat and even though we had our doubts, after a quick look on Trip Adviser, we decided to give it a try as it was convenient for our Opera concert. I had just the veal and a glass of Prosecco and my husband had the stuffed courgette to start, which was tasty and the red snapper, which was as big as a fish finger! The fish and veal were very tender but the portions were tiny and the meal came to €88. Although we sat upstairs and the waitress was lovely and very helpful (from Spain) we felt utterly ripped off! It was definitely not even remotely value for money and we would advise against a visit. We have eaten in many restaurants and understand that some serve delicate portions, but this was the equivalent of €28 for a fish finger, with 4 tear drops of potato purée. Very very disappointing and they do not deserve the custom!
