Tucked away local 'cellar' restaurant with great local atmosphere.
Dont be put off by the very low key frontage. You'll almost miss it!
This is a secret place that only those in the know will visit!
Very good quality Tuscan ingredients and cuisine make up a very traditional menu.
Very nice deserts with desert wine included!
Good wine selection at fair prices, some from the owner's Fagnani vineyards in Montalcino.
'Chef Bagoga' is a local Palio celeb and will ensure that all his clients are happy.
We enjoyed our first visit so much that we booked a return on a Saturday night and it was really buzzing! We were not disappointed by the welcome or food. Really top notch!
Seating inside and out is limited and the place always seems full, so take a gamble or book to make certain of a table...

Meeting Bagoga in person was just as exhilarating as the meal he prepared for our group, all Italians except for me. From start to finish he took us on a journey through Tuscan history, telling the history and legends of each single dish. We started with a sampler which included 'Chianti' style tuna - in reality, pork filet that is slow-cooked and stored in olive oil; the result is a tuna-like flaky texture, thus 'Tonno del Chianti' - and a typical Tuscan bruschetta (called 'crostino') that was not really typical as instead of liver Bagoga uses the more delicate spleen.
Our first course samples were gnocchi with truffles in a heavenly creamy sauce and Tuscan pici in a ragu' sauce with a special twist. Main course samples included three stews: a savory turkey with Indian spices; a pork stew; and my all time favorite beef peppered stew, called 'peposo' in Tuscany. The flavors in the peposo are decisive and lingering, clearly a dish that speaks about the past and a people that has fought many wars to keep hold of their beloved land, a divine guidance for the creation of great art inspired by breathtaking nature.

Fantastic. Great restaurant. The pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms was wonderful. Don't miss this great find when you are in Siena, Italy a bit tricky to find but it's worth it . Ask a local for directions. it's well known and well regarded. We went for lunch.
