At Il Campo, to the left of the tower, just down a little alley on Via Salicotto on your left, is a WONDERFUL little restaurant where you'll be served a truly memorable meal. No menu, say English please, and the waiter will give you some choices. We began with a bottle of chianti, then hubby had a huge bowl of tortellini while I ate delicious ravioli in a meaty sauce/gravy - both dishes divine. Then our choice of chicken, pork, beef, or lamb (the lamb fell off the bone and we couldn't help oohing and aching, it was that good.). We had a big plate of perfectly cooked fresh, really fresh, asparagus with olive oil and lemon (sooooo good.). We opted for the just picked strawberries, delicious, for dessert. Every dish looked camera ready and far exceeded our expectations. A great dining experience for 65 euros!
