We visited in October and things were quiet so the service was quite fast. The food was hot and very well presented, but to be honest, it tasted a bit average. Having traveled to Italy quite a few times I can say you can find better.

It is a well presented restaurant and the seating inside and out is of a high standard.

The cost was the meal (starter and main for four) was one of the most expensive we had that week and it was far from the best tasting. I guess your paying for the location and the lovely view. Cannot fault that.

I think we will try elsewhere on our next visit to Siena.

The view was great and the food was good, but they charge a 10 Euro cover vs. 2 Euro at the neighboring restaurants; then they make it clear that you also need to tip for service. I'd recommend picking one of the neighboring restaurants where the service is included, the cover charge reasonable, and the view and the food are just as good or possibly better.

My first clue should have been the fact we did not see a posted menu. However, since the weather in Siena that day was nothing short of a cyclone, terrible rain and wind, we decided to go into the closest place we could find to eat for shelter. We waited awhile for a menu, then saw the prices. I had a hearty soup, my husband had what was described as a grilled chese. It turned out to be a slice of cheese over some polenta with pieces of pancetta over it. We only ordered a bottle of water, and were shocked when the bill came to 39.50 euros. That included a huge 10euro (5E per person) charge for bread and cover. This is the equivalent of $13 U.S. What a rip-off. I have paid a few euro for cover, but not 10. Needless to say, we left disappointed, and do not recommend this restaurant. There are several places around The Campo, all equal in view of the Piazza. Check the menu board before deciding.

First thing to be aware of is the £5 cover charge per person. If the service was better we probably wouldn't have minded. The food is good and of course the location is fantastic. Sadly we had a large canopy over the outside tables, so couldn't even see the view. A small glass of wine cost
£8.50 and the size of the servings were disappointing for the £14 these cost. It was one of our favourite places in Siena, but now we feel they are overpriced and too commercial. There are lots of more realistic options around the Siena piazza.

when I had an experience to gather 80 people at one time in a restaurant, the service was not always good. Instead at the restaurant Al Mangia with 80 Rotarians we had a good service and excellent food. We enjoyed a good Chianti, and the view of the most beautiful square: Piazza Del Campo,
