“Very good place, but slightly overpriced”
Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

The place is very beautiful, and it is located in Pancolle, not far from San Gimignano (no public transport) on the Via Francigena. The view of the surrounding hills is breathtaking. Unfortunately our room did not have a view on the hills, but on the road instead. The breakfast is OK and very typical. The staff is very welcoming. Buy wine and olive oil if you can :-)

Slightly overpriced for what you get considering the location.

Our stay was exactly what we expected. We expected to stay at local winery with a helpful staff that would give us suggestions and ideas to help make our holiday successful and memorable, and they did that. Elena was great! One of our party had their luggage lost by the airlines and she spent everyday helping and calling the airline to assist us so we could continue to go and enjoy our trip. The dinner recommendations were spot on. Even before we arrived and were late on the day of check in, she made sure we were taken care of. The accommodations were simple but clean and were what we needed. If you are looking for opulent luxury, then check into the Ritz. If you are looking for a helpful staff, at local flavor with award winning wine, a good breakfast, and a clean room at a reasonable rate, then you will not go wrong by booking rooms at Cesani. You will feel comfortable and at home.

My husband and I stayed three nights at Agriturismo Cesani out of two weeks spent in Tuscany for our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, and it was wonderful! Latisia (not sure of her spelling, my apologies) greeted us and was our host for the duration. We stayed in the "Blue Room" of the farthest building from the reception building. When Latisia pulled back the drapes and threw open the shutters, my husband and I both gasped at the view - vineyards below and San Gimignano in the distance. It was breath taking. The room was simple - traditional agriturismo style with tile flooring, beamed ceilings and wrought iron bed with a wardrobe and private bath. Even without the view, at 90 euros a night it was a deal; but with the view, the service and FREE breakfast it was a steal of a deal!! We highly recommend this site and hope to return! Thank you Latisia for treating us so warmly and working so very hard at ALL you do!!

Room Tip: Go for a second floor room, not the spacious patio on the bottom - you can't see anything from d...

Really enjoyed my stay here. Clean and comfortable, Accommodating and friendly staff. The family are always around if you need them and Elena is super helpful. Just far enough away from San Gimignano to allow you to feel you're in the country. Plenty of opportunity to explore the farm, chat to the family and workers and the breakfast is good to.

Room Tip: Ask about a room with a farm view or better still book a couple of nights and the appartment might b...

Only good thing about this place was the breakfast! Room and no view was a disappointment! Hard bed, small shower. Stayed in much better hotels for the same price. Cannot recommend

We love our 3 day stay here, the rooms were large and clean, the bed very comfortable. The Buffett breakfast was very good, especially with the home made cheeses, salami’s, jams and honey. The value for your dollar was incredible, I love being able to walk the road to the restaurant down the street and pick cherry’s off some of the trees.

I would highly recommend this Agrriturismo to all who are looking to stay in this area.

What we looked for - a quiet place in Tuscany within a small village a bit of nowhere track and within a working farm of olive and vineyards
What we got was - all the above plus a friendly service, a room with a view and private terrace, a friendly local cat, a helpful contact from the hotel (we booked via booking, com but got personally emailed) to tell us about the problems they have been having with road work, an entertaining hour getting more pissed with their locally grown and produced wine and a fabulous breakfast and regretting we didn't stay more than the one night.

Wi-fi only works at the reception area but why waste time wi-fiing when you should be looking around and enjoy the rest of it.

Room Tip: we had a room with a view and a private terrace
