Our family (parents and two young adult couples) had scheduled a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy, We had a friend recommend SassiBianchi for the Tuscany portion of our trip, and that is where we started after flying into Florence. The experience vastly exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the Lilium house, one of several on the exquisite countryside setting, an old and charming structure with three bedrooms with ensuite baths and a lovely and quaint lower level with full kitchen, dining and living room and outdoor patio. Paulo and Concetta welcomed us the first night with a fabulous Tuscan meal, including their own wines and olive oil! We enjoyed breakfast on the patio before toured the countryside (including Florence!) during the day and came back to incredible peace and quite. Best of all, it was a very affordable option - especially compared to the hotels in Orvieto and Rome where we stayed for the remainder of our trip. We will be back!

My wife and two sons all being Tuscany officianados I was finally persuaded to go. So off the four of us went on Easyjet to Pisa and a very easy drive into what feels like nowhere about 20 minutes from San Giminano. And what a lovely nowhere - coming through the gates you sweep down to the villas overlooking the excellent size pool and the most breathtaking view over the Tuscan countryside. A minor hitch over keys when we first arrived has been forgotten and Concetta had prepared everything beautifully for us - she could not have been warmer, more inviting or more helpful, gibing us plenty of suggestions on what to see and (vital for me) where to eat. She did some lovely touches like turning up early one morning with a typical local farmer's breakfast for us which was delicious!

The house was well appointed, clean and cool despite the Tuscan summer heat. All the rooms of good size with comfortable beds and en suite bathrooms.

I needed a bit of a down tools and relax - and what a perfectly idyllic place to do that - thank you Concetta and Paolo both.

For the second year in a row we stayed in Uliveta house. This time we travel with my family (last time with friends), but both times we had with us several children. This is a great house with a wonderful garden and a beautiful pool. The view of the city is amazing!! The hospitality of Concetta and Paolo made the holiday a extraordinary great experience and we bring home good memories. This is a place we want to go back year after year and I recommend it highly!

As I said in my review from 2012, I predicted that our boys would want to return. Paolo and Concetta were once more the warmest of hosts (real and beautiful people). The garden was beautiful, the boys wandered around freely and explored. Despite being a bit cold for the time of year, we enjoyed the pool. We often ate in the terrace and drank gorgeous local wine looking over the rolling hills and the towers of St Gimignano. I can recommend it more and definitely we ll return.

Sassi Bianchi was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there previously. I don't konw how they found it originally but I am so glad they did. Our group of 14 stayed at Sassi Bianchi the first week of September, and it was one of the highlights of our trip(along with Rome and Venice.) and a great way to really get to experience Tuscany. While staying at Sassi Bianchi we took day trips to Florence, Siena, San Gigmiano, and Cinque Terre. My half of the group stayed in Ginestra Farmhouse, which was quite charming and authentic. The views of the Tuscan hills, the proximity to San Gigimiano, and particularly, Concetta and Paulo, simply amazing. Concetta and Paulo prepared such a wonderful meal for us one night that we begged to have them do it again the next night. A few of the amenities that helped was after 4 days in Rome it was nice to have a place to stay with a washing machine. The days were hot but the nights were pleasantly cool. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to really experience rural Tuscany. Thank you Concetta and Paulo.
