It's a good hike up and at the last bit you climb a ladder so be prepared. Once on top, the views are breathtaking. Nice breeze...worth it to go up on top and view the surrounding countryside.

Outstanding views! After climbing the tower check out the works of art in the salone below. There are wonderful works from 13th - 16th century.

If your in Tuscany then you must go to San Gimignano it is a very beautiful medieval town with all of its walls intact, when you are there you must go to a really nice shop of Biancheria Gift di Mezzetti Mauro you will find it on the main street near the main piazza, its really worth a look. This shop stocks clothing for children, table linen, bath room linen and tapestries all with a Tuscan feel, and very high quality.

Great views once you’re at the top. There’s no lift, instead, there’s some 315 steps: most are modern, wide and easily climbed but the bottom few stone steps are little steep and the narrow ladder access at the top can get a little congested. Hey, but just look at the views!
