We sought out this restaurant based on previous reviews and were surprised the place was empty. I remembered some of the reviews beforehand and as the evening went on I kept wondering whether I had the right place. The waitress (who is also the chef) was very nice but did not speak much English (not an issue at all, it was us who struggled to explain in Italian) and she took it upon herself to get her father who was able to understand us. He mentioned in passing that they had only been open a week which explains the difference in dining experience. I would stress that this is not just a change of ownership but a different restaurant as the food, menu and chefs are different.
The restaurant serves organic food only and lots of the ingredients they source from their own farm (which you can also purchase). The menu was limited and the portions on the small side (particularly a dish that was supposed to be a secondi). The food was tasty, although unfortunately nothing special. I was also surprised on the bill that service was added automatically, but also that they charged it per head (albeit a couple of euros per person) which I had not come across before. The food was very well priced however.
The staff were great and I was very mindful that it is their first time in the restaurant business, having previously only working on their agriturismo. I do wish them success in their new venture.
