Very Tuscan!

We had lunch on the terrace and the food (Pici and Risotto, and Tagliatelle) was fantastic.

It was away from the crowds and the bars with frozen pizza.

Very very nice place.

Liked - just off the beaten track with a great terrace at the back of the restaurant. Food was great and the service excellent.
Disliked - nothing
Only a four stars as not as good as Bel Soggiorno which I awarded five!

We were lucky enough to be taken by our Italian friends with whom we were staying, to this quite excellent restaurant. We had a table at the rear of the restaurant in an open air terrace, which was lovely. Despite the fact that we were nine in number, the service was excellent, being patient with us deciding from the extensive menu, and suggesting that the two forms of the pasta that Mauro and I were ordering, could be split, so we each had half of both varieties, so I could try them both. Not many restaurants in Britain would suggest such an option, and happily provide us with two plates each. Excellent food, enjoyed by all, generous portions, and well worth a visit

We arrived late in San Gimignano and set out to find a restaurant wanting to avoid tourist traps we searched for something local. This one seemed very reasonable price-wise, he choice of foods (vegetarian dishes abounded, as well as wild boar) the staff was very welcoming and friendly and our waiter spoke both English and French to our groups of mixed nationalities.

The servings were generous, the prices were reasonable, the wine we tried from San Gimignano was very very good and not overly expensive. We decided to eat outside on the lovely terrace tables are limited but with enough space to not feel as though you were eating with your neighbors. I loved the size of the table since we there were 5 of us! It was already dark, so I'm not sure if there is a view off the terrace, but it was quiet, which was perfect.

Our waiter was informative telling us the history of the restaurant (the silo for cereals that is visible in the floor with a deep hole covered by plexiglass and lit up). They used to ground the cereals to make bread, then knead it and bake it onsite.

We highly recommend this restaurant.

The owner of the B&B we stayed in at San Gimignano gave us a short list of restaurants that provide more traditional Tuscan food in town. We checked out the menu and decided we liked what we saw. We did not have a booking but we were given a table in their alfresco area. It was the perfect evening to be eating outdoors. We were there early so plenty of space.
We had a lovely meal. Good quality produce. The service was on the money. The recommendation we were given was spot on and i have no hesitation in recommending the food here. Enjoy.
