The Cathedral of San Gimignano is truly worth a visit. We visited one hot and sweltering July afternoon. We saw a tremendous display of artistry including Ghirlandaio.

Loved the frescoes and I think its smaller than some of the other duomos we visited in Florence etc. Colourful and interesting

The works of art here are just as stunning as the better known ones in other Art cities of Italy. Entrance to the Collegiata includes an audio guide which helps you to understand completely what you are looking at without giving you too many facts and figures to digest during your holiday! Recommended.

A stunning little gem of a church, packed with exquisite frescoes by Ghirlandaio and other wonderful artists. Worth every cent of the modest entrance fee, it really should not be missed. It's a highlight, not just of San Gimignano, but of all Tuscany. The plain exterior hides real treasures inside.

There are interesting frescoes and a chapel of the local saint (Santa Fina), beautifully decorated. The cathedral is incomparable with the great duomos of Pisa or Siena, but keeps up with the small and cosy scale of San Gimignano.
