“Delightful evening”
Reviewed February 25, 2014

With so many great restaurants to choose from in San Gimignano, we didn't consult TA for a change and just trusted our instincts. We really enjoyed our evening at Peruca and the food was excellent! Very professional service, nicely paced in a packed restaurant with people waiting; no rush was felt to eat and run! I had the rabbit, something I rarely try and it was excellent with a side of their saluted spinach with a nice balance of flavors. Great wine list with many choices and reasonable prices. My husband had a starter, beef filet for his entrée and the cheese tray for desert all with a great bottle of wine=75 euros. We felt good value for the high quality of food.

“Great food in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

I had the pleasure of eating at this beautiful restaurant located in an old building in San Gimignano and I was fine. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff very friendly and helpful, also the owners are very friendly and nice. The food is great, especially the meat. All the dishes were delicious and presented very well, from appetizer to dessert. Here you can discover the ancient flavors and taste excellent dishes. I would absolutely recommend this excellent restaurant for dinner and lunch, a beautiful place to eat the food of the Tuscan tradition, revisited in a modern and original way.

“Make sure you do not miss it”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

My wife and I had lunch at ristorante Perucà at the end of December 2013. We found the restaurant by chance, as it is slightly off the main street in San Gimignano. The restaurant is located in an old cellar, which makes it a very beautiful setting for having lunch. Service was very good. I want to recommend the risotto with truffle, probably the best risotto I have had so far. We gave our well-deserved compliments to the chef.

“Pretty good”

All in all, this was a nice place to have dinner. Good service and nice atmosphere. The seafood risotto was excellent, but the four-cheese gnocchi was kind of bland.
