“True Tuscany Experience”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

We had arranged a week long stay at a Tuscan villa on the east side of Florence and felt isolated and missing the Tuscan experience we expected.

We went is search of the "true" Tuscan experience, arrived in San Gimignano, booking a room at the nearby Torraccia di Chiusi based on a recommendation and immediately fell in love with it.

The owners have restored the historical buildings beautifully and together with the gardens, surrounding vineyards and olive groves have created a magnificent ambience to the naturally beautiful hilltop location.

We will definitely be back!

As we had promised first time, we came back again, already for the third time. This time we traveled with our little daughter and stayed for 9 nights.
We have visited many places all over the world but Torraccia di Chiusi is definitively one of our favorite spots. Looking for a relaxing vacation in the beautifully scenery away from crowds (but still close to the touristic attractions) and liking fantastic Tuscany cuisine and excellent wine you cant be wrong there! With such a nice staff and lovely accommodation you will be enjoy every minute of your holiday at Torraccia and wish you would be back again.

Not far from Sangimignano city, you can find the very nice place to stay. The room is clean and so cute. The staffs are very friendly. It located on the hill, so you can see a very good view from here( also Sangimignano city). I had dinner here, very enjoy with the Tuscansun foods and wine( my friend can not eat beef, we had dilicious chicken instead). Everythings is wonderful there. Thank you to everyone. I promise, i will come again.

There is only one real reason to visit Tuscany - to experience it the way the people of Tuscany experience it. Torraccia di Chiuisi provides the visitor with that wonderful opportunity. It's a beautiful and convenient agroturismo in one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. The owners are so kind, welcoming and helpful. They will do anything to make your stay more pleasant including helping you plan your day trips and restaurant choices. The rooms are comfortable, their food is fantastic and their wine from their vineyards is simply divine. I strongly recommend that you participate in one of their cooking classes - it was the highlight of my trip!

There are no words to adequately describe how phenomenal Torraccia di Chiusi is. The people are so incredible. The food is out of this world- Bruno is a master. The wine is wonderful. The history and storytelling is amazing. And the scenery is breathtaking. My friend got sick (nothing to do with staying there) and Maria was at the hospital before we got there. She took such great care of us - so above and beyond anything I've ever encountered. Stefano was also incredible. (My friend is fine by the way)
When you go, please take a tour and have a wine tasting. And have dinner there every night. You will not have a better meal in all of Italy. Bruno is a master. Who knew I would dream of peas after this visit?!

Words can't describe the beauty of the landscape , the staff and the food and wine . Each get a five star rating from me . The rooms and grounds are kept impeccable; the staff are like long lost brothers and sisters ; the food is local and the chef Bruno is a true artist in the kitchen . The owner is passionate about what he does and shares the amazing history of his grounds and the area . Do not miss the wine tasting !

Staying at Torraccia Di Chiusi was a highlight of our month long trip to Italy. Stefano was the perfect host, sharing the history of his beautiful home with such passion and love. The tour of the ancient cave was a highlight as was the substantial wine tasting. Bruno, the chef, deserves a couple of Michelin stars for his dinners and Stefano's Leek Pasta is a dish I will remember forever. Maria made us feel very welcome and the beautiful accommodation was very comfy. I would highly recommend this agriturismo to anyone who wants to know Tuscany intimately and with their whole heart. I wish we could have stayed forever!
