Le Tre Stelle

Wonderfully sweet and charming host. Good breakfast of homemade breads, etc. The pool is refreshing and definitely a plus in the hot months. The old town of Certaldo Alto is cute little town and worth a visit.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights July 1 and 2. Donatella was very welcoming after our long drive from Torino. We ate dinner here both nights and the pasta and free flowing wine was delicious. The other guests at the Agriturismo for dinner were not as friendly as we had hoped, but you can't pick who is staying there. We did a day trip to Volterra and San Gimignano, very beautiful drives and quaint hill towns. Donatella told us about another hill town between Certaldo and Sienna, called Monteriggioni.....such a cute place, we ended up buying a case of wine at Monte Chiaro winery and had it shipped home

I just returned from staying at Le Tre Stelle for 5 days (alone) and joined by my daughter on the weekend. It was one of my favorite places to stay in all my travels to Italy. You are in the beautiful countryside, in easy range to make day trips to many Tuscan hilltowns. But most enjoyable for me, was just staying put at the agriturismo. I am from the city, and to just loll around by the pool, or lay about on the swing reading a book, sipping a glass of the local Vermentino, or taking a walk through the paths in the vineyards, or visiting the animals on the farm, or....I could go on and on. The setting itself, without venturing out, was a true pleasure for me and made for a restful, rejuvenating trip. The host, Donatella, is gracious, warm and good-humored. Her mother, Maria, is a sweetheart who serves up some of the best Tuscan fare each evening at the communal dining table, where guests would sit for hours eating, drinking and chatting about their adventures of the day. I would return in a heart beat!

My husband and I loved the three nights we spent at Le Tre Stelle. It was a pleasure cooking in the kitchen with Donatella and her mother. Dinner meals are served family style. Two nights we ate dinner at the property giving us the opportunity to meet and talk with other people from all over the world.
Looking forward to our return trip, hope to take our children to meet Donatella and explore Tuscany.

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend 2 nights and 3 days at Le Tre Stelle. Donatella, her sister and their momma are amazing people with such warm hearts. We really admire what they have done on the farm, their local produce, their passion for their wine and of course the best food we have ever tasted! My husband keeps longing back and had to get used to my cooking soon as we landed back home:) Donnatella is an amazing person with such an enquiring mind and very wise. The memories will last a lifetime. Thanks to the 3 women stars.

Had the privilege of staying with Donatella & her Mama for 5 days and couldn't have asked for a better experience of Tuscany! Extremely central to everything that Tuscany has to offer plus the awesome home cooking!!! Although the address says San Gimigiano, they are actually closer to Certaldo but thats not a bad thing cos its more convenient visiting all the other medieval towns of Tuscany. Met a few travellers from Liverpool & central Germany whom we got along with really well and enjoyed dinner every evening. Mama doesn't know what she's gonna be cooking till abt 2 hours before dinner so it was a nice surprise every night plus she feeds you till you're full so bring an appetite... They've got a selection of great wines from their family vineyard that is included in the price for dinner too. It was a great escape for us in between the hustle and bustle of Rome & Florence. We'll be back very soon!

Donatella was the best person we met during our stay in Italy.
We spent five days in Tuscany, of which 3 (three) nights were in Le Tre Stelle and two in another Agriturismo (which was twice the price of this one and considered one of the top ten, but was terrible!!!).
Le Tre Stelle was the most pleasant place I have ever stood in. The place was a rela tuscany farm, with nature, flowers, lovely animals and they make you feel completely comfortable.
The food was the best we have ever had in our life. Dinner was lovely presented, with special foods to me (I only eat chicken and fish) although Tuscany is more of a red meat territory. You eat until you are completely full and there will be more and more food and kinds of wines...
The place was adorable and really a family farm. The three women are completely devoted to their farm, the delicious wines and their products therein cultivated during the whole year.
Maria, Donatella`s mum, was so nice and really funny, a real grandma to everyone (a real nonna italiana). She also works hard on the farm and is always smiling.
Donatella was always at our disposal and really interested in exchanging cultures. She makes the most delicious dishes in the planet, of tuscan ingredients, collected on their farm.
After this pleasant and unforgettable stay, we unfortunately had to go to another Agriturismo since it had already been booked before. The other one is considered to be excellent by Tripadvisor`s clients, but as soon as we got there, the experience was shocking: terrible wine, terrible food, terrible people and everything was paid for.
Therefore, DONT EVEN CONSIDER BOOKING ANOTHER AGRITURISM. GO TO LE TRE STELLE!! It was an unique experience and will be remembered for our whole lives. Moreover, they are gay friendly, differently from the other porky agriturism that is currently (i dont know why!) on the top of the list...
