Description: The restaurant Dulcisinfundo is in front of the most suggestive breathtaking view of San Gimignano. Thanks to the medieval milieu and two deep granaries in the old floor, here time seems to have stopped. We propose the typical Tuscan cuisine and the raw materials used in preparing our dishes are of the highest quality and only served in season. Our chefs prepare all our recommended dishes individually and carefully. From the “antipasti” right through to the desserts and ice creams, everything is prepared using only selected products. We are also farm managers and offer you our property’s products. to ensure freshness, authenticity and just- picked flavour. Vegetables, aromatic herbs, pure saffron of S.Gimignano and extra virgin olive oil come from our own farm “ Fortezza de' Cortesi” only 5 km far from the restaurant. Several wines are available and some of them are very prestigious, however it's our pleasure suggesting to our guests high quality level products, also by the glass. We are open from Easter up to first days of November and during the Christmas and end of the year period. The day off is on Wednesday.

“Superb flavours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

We had looked through the top 10 on TA and missed this - lucky we did! The hotel reception suggested this when the initial choice turned out to be closed. If you're in to flavoursome food, we reckoned this place served up some of the tastiest Italian dishes either of us have eaten anywhere. Nothing more needs to be added..

“Brilliant hidden gem with Jazz music and Vegetarian options”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

This place was a little hard to find initially. As not many other restaurants near the main piazza know about it. We went there on a Wednesday, which unfortunately was their day off. So went again on Thursday. Beautiful views outside the restaurants of farm houses and vineyards. Inside the restaurant it was nice and cozy. Excellent jazz playing in the background. Good wine selection and they had enough vegetarian food options.

Would definitely like to go back there...

“Loved this Restaurant & gluten free friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013

Tried eating here... and returned another 3 times during the week. The menu has different options than the usual pasta/pizza and they can do gluten free pasta if wanted and provide gluten free bread. The Wild Boar dish is so good and the wine list fantastic. Jazz music fans will enjoy the music and photos on the walls and the service was excellent. This restaurant was a great find - and the views from out front were amazing.

“tasty food, good location, atmospheric interior and the best backing music in Italy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

The food was really good. Quite simple but with some interesting twists (green bean and lemon salad with the beans from the owner's garden). The origin of the food used is displayed in the menu and it is all local. For those wanting to sit outside, there is a great view over the hills. A real plus for us was the great jazz played in the background. By far the best in any restaurant and made a change from the really cheesy love songs we had to endure in most other places.

“Nice evening out in San Gimignano”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

Six years ago, this was my parents' favorite restaurant in Tuscany, and the one they were most looking forward to returning to. It seems to have changed owners since then, and they were a bit disappointed by this visit, which was for my sister's birthday. That said, we had a perfectly adequate meal, in a nicely decorated restaurant in a quiet location in the lovely town of San Gimignano.

My husband and father had boar, which they said was very good. My mother and I had a very nice pici, which they prepared without garlic (to which we both have a violent allergy). The house wines (both white and red) were excellent. The wait staff was efficient, although they didn't have much imagination about the choices for the two of us with garlic allergies and the two who are vegans.

Total cost for starter, main, shared dessert, and wine was 70 euros per couple.
