We chose to stay here almost purely for the view and we were given room number 1 which had a phenomenal view of San Gimignano. The staff were also helpful in pointing us to some good places to eat and the room was nice and clean.

This agriturismo was perfect in every way. The accommodations and breakfast were outstanding. The location was perfect for day-trip travel to many cities: Florence, Siena, Pisa, Luca. The rooms were very spacious.

We stayed 3 nights in late November and we loved the place. Theresa is a wonderful sweet host. She takes care of everything but is not intrusive. We stayed in the larger suite - worth the extra $. More space, sofa, dining table and fridge to store all the ham and cheese we bought to munch on. The views of San Gimignano ate great. We hiked 3 to 5 miles each morning and we walked to town (not an easy walk but doable if you enjoy walking). We will be back some day!

We stayed at Il Casolare di Bucciano for 3 nights. Our room was located on the ground floor, with a private outdoor seating area and large doors that open to San Gimignano. The views are incredible! Our room was spacious, clean and rustic. The property is charming and wonderfully quiet! It is just off the main road, easy to locate and a quick drive to San Gimignano. It made a great base for visiting other hill towns in Tuscany. WiFi was spotty in our room, but worked well in the main house and outside. We did miss having a hair dryer in the room. It was damp in the mornings and evenings, and the thick walls seemed to hold on to moisture. We hand washed some clothes, but the room was to humid for them to dry, even overnight. We didn’t eat dinner on the property, and now wish we had adjusted our schedule to enjoy a home cooked meal. The breakfast spread was one of our favorites during our trip! Freshly baked bread, croissants and cakes, local meats and cheese, cappuccino and fresh juice. We were amazed by the incredibly hard-working women here. They started at dawn, and continued working late into the night. We thoroughly enjoyed the Agriturismo experience and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for four night in the junior suite. The suite is large and detached from the main hotel building. I would agree with the positive comments made by others. The views of San Gimignano and the Tuscan countryside are stunning, the staff are friendly, but not overly so. Language difficulties, I believe, prevent closer contact.Dinner, at €25 per head for a 4-course Tuscan meal, represents very good value. We ate dinner on three evenings (on Mondays the kitchen is closed) and enjoyed the down to earth food immensely. My points for negative criticism would be; the free Wifi is not available in the junior suite and coverage in the hotel and grounds seemed to be sporadic. No English or German language TV channels are available. Breakfast, while typically Italian, was a little repetitive. All that said, we would certainly go back, but would go slightly better prepared i.e. with a kettle and tea/coffee, as no facilities were available in the rooms.

Room Tip: You definitely need a car as the hotel is quite remote (3 kms from San Gimignano). If you're dri...

We spent a great week there. Wonderful views! Beautiful rooms with wooden beams on the ceilings, spacious bathroom, very clean. Very delicious breakfast with home-made cakes. You MUST try dinner, it's incredibly good!
Very friendly & helpful owners.
If you are looking for a romantic time, book the junior suite :-)
I can only recommend Il Casolare di Bucciano, if you want to spend a beautiful time at San Gimignano.

Room Tip: get the junior suite!

We stayed there for one night on our trip around Italy. We wished we could have stayed longer. One of the most enduring memories of our trip is sitting, dangling our feet in the pool and watching the sun set over the valley and the towers of San Gimignano. Beautiful! The only downside was no lift and we were on the second floor. It was a little hard to find with a GPS but after we asked someone we managed to find it. The sign on the main road is very small but once we found it, definitely worthwhile. Wifi only worked in the entry hall but the room was large and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others and would love to go back and spend more time.
