“Very good food, good quantity”
Reviewed January 5, 2013 via mobile

Very good restaurant in the city centre. Very good selection of fish and meat, and good variety of wines both local and the tuscan region. The mussel soup was delicious, and the daily specials very good. I found the pasta slightly too al dente...but apart from that all very good, and right price

“Great meal, great atmosphere”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

Searched Trip advisor for a restaurant in Pisa and decided on this following other's recommendations. Weren't disappointed. Being English and used to eating earlier than the locals, we arrived at 7.25pm and they weren't open until 7.30, but we were shown to a table and made welcome.

The waiter spoke reasonable English (for which we were very grateful) and he was knowledgable and happy to explain the menu and the specials. We both had versions of the wild boar which was in season. We weren't disappointed, but we were very full! Forced a delicious pannacotta down between us and the coffee was good too.

The locals arrived around 9pm and there were a couple of big groups which was lovely.

This is slightly off the beaten track, but worth getting lost (as we always do) and make the effort to find it.

Would definitely recommend.

“Nice atmosphere and great food quality.”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

My boyfriend and I went to this spaghetteria on a Saturday. Unfortunately, we did not reserve the table. However, we were lucky enough to get one and try the amazing food. Portions are not too big, just perfect! The fish was fresh and tasty and the wine was FABULOUS (Vernaccia di S.Gimignano Monenidoli Tradizionale). The service could have been somehow more friendly, but as said..they had a busy night!

“Lovely little restaurant”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

We visited this place after a recommendation from the owner of the B&B we stayed at. Tucked away just off one of the main shopping streets, it was well worth seeking out. It was busy, we got the second table and the place filled up within about 20 minutes.

The waiter arrived quickly and took our orders, I asked him to recommend a wine and he suggested the house red. It was excellent, very tasty and smooth, so unlike other house wines. When the bill was paid I was astounded to see that the 1/2 litre of good quality red wine had cost us just 4 euros (the 2 cappucinos were 6 euros).

The pasta was excellent, a very thick strand of spaghetti that retained a good bite. The accompanying sea food and pesto was delicious and I had a little try of my wife's meat sauce which was also very good.

The staff were efficient, friendly and polite, so nice to have good food, good service and reasonable prices in a relaxed environment. If you go to Pisa, bypass the usual pizza places and find this little gem, you will not be disappointed.
