One of the restaurant’s hosts made a point after our meal of telling us how the chef only ever chose the best pieces of the best produce in the market daily - putting in words what our taste buds and stomachs had noted during a long and ultimately delicious dinner! The mixed grill anti pasta de mare, the marvellous pasta - the sweet seafood filling playing perfectly of the nero ravioli, the grilled fish secondi - succulent moist flavour packed, the pecorino cheese I fished with excellent and my partner's panacotta a dish he's still talking about. Wonderful hosts, splendid food, great vino de casa rossi - what more can one want - to visit again soon!. Pity I live in London, UK!

We tried this restaurant largely due to its proximity to our hotel and it was good. We tried pasta starters and meat mains, both were excellent as was the wine. It's a family run affair where the chef / owner comes out to chat with you, all very Italian and a charming attribute. Good value too E63.00 for two three course meals with wine - just the job !

Service is good the place is authentic the food is Ok. There is a lot if competition in Pisa and this place is good but not the best. Just lacks that extra special touch in terms of quality but don't dismiss it.

This restaurant is basically across the street from our hotel. We ate there for the second time last night. It was very good. For 15 euro each person got a choice of a 4 or 5 different pastas, a choice of chicken cooked in wine, or a grilled pork steak and a couple of other things, and a choice of salad, potatoe or stewed vegetable. Also wine, fruit or water was included. It was more than a glass of wine he put on the table! We really enjoyed it and thought is was good value for our money.

This was another restuarant we stumbled upon by wandering down the narrow streets of Pisa. Once again, we were rewarded by looking for a place to eat away from the main streets. The host was lovely and welcoming, and more than happy to go off menu to serve up a linguni with bolognaise sauce. My daughter enjoyed a delicious al dente pasta as well, and we shared a dish of aubergine Sardinian style, which was packed with flavour. The service was fast and friendly, and despite the fact we speak almost no Italian and the host speaks almost no English, we understood each other just fine.

The only other people eating in the restaurant at the same time as us was a local couple, which is a pity as this is a restaurant that offers an authentic dining experience run by a husband and wife, with the wife in charge of the kitchen and the husband in charge of service on the floor. It's a warm, welcoming place with lots to choose from on the menu. The food is fresh and makes the most of local produce. Definitely a ristorante worth searching for.
