“Great for a night”
Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for 1 night and the location cannot be beaten, literally a 1 min walk from the duomo and tower! I only had 1 night and left the next morning, it wasn't expensive and would be good for someone without having a lot of time! Room was clean and bed was comfy enough although a bit hard! Another thing, remember to buy water before going in as I was charged €3 for a 1 litre bottle of water as the shop had closed by the time I got to it!

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night after arriving in Pisa, looking for somewhere to stay and working our way around the nearby hotels to the leaning tower and cathedral as we had not booked anything. After trying a few hotels & b&b's which either had no vacancies or were ridiculous prices, we stumbled along and found this in the extreme vicinity from the Piazza dei Miracoli. Luca in reception was exceptionally helpful and informative in all aspects and advised us that there was even a bus stop outside whereby the buses took you all the way to the airport. Breakfast was enough, would recommend

The best thing about this hotel is the location, literally two minutes away from the Piazza dei Miracoli, but it's also reasonably good value for money. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly, and I got a quick response to my email asking about parking. I particularly appreciated the fact that the non-smoking rule seemed to be mostly respected (there was only one case in which a staff member was smoking just outside the door to the little garden). The air-conditioning was very efficient.

On the negative side, window insulation could do with a lot of improvement. Our first floor room overlooked the street and was very noisy even with the window shut and and drapes drawn. The waitress serving breakfast was very brusque, and quite rude to another client who didn't speak Italian. Making wisecracks about clients in Italian because they don't understand is pretty obnoxious, especially since the nasty tone of voice needs no translation. All the other staff members were very polite so this is something the hotel should look at fixing. Bear in mind that the breakfast room was not crowded so there is no excuse at all for being rude to guests.
The parking space is really cramped, but we were just glad to have it. I noticed a large garage in the vicinity so that could be another option but I have no idea about the charges.

Room Tip: Try to get a room not facing the street or at least on a higher floor, or the traffic will keep you...

We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel, which is excellent value for money. It is really close to the Campo dei Miracoli and about a ten minute walk to the shops and restaurants of Pisa. It is situated on a main road, however the traffic died down at night so we slept fairly slept well, and the beds were comfortable. We booked two single rooms, and unlike other more expensive hotels which can have very small, gloomy single rooms, our rooms were light and spacious, with good size bathrooms. The staff were pleasant and helpful, we were given lots of useful information at reception. There is also a pleasant garden at the side of the hotel. Breakfast was fine, although basic, bread, croissants and cereals. Will return.

We visited Pisa in early September, and chose this hotel because of the location 30m from the entrance to the Campo dei Miracoli and on the LAM Rosso bus route from the Airport.
We found the hotel ideal - basic clean room and more than adequate continental breakfast. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and informative.
Our stay was perfect and we would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed on 15th Sept 2013. This was for the start of our honeymoon. We arrived late but that was no problem to the noght porter who then gave us the a parking space in their private car park which was very helpful and they allowed us to remain there until the following afternoon for only 14 Euro. We had room 44 which gave us an unprecedented view of the tower. In the morning it was a view to remember and very romantic. The location was really helpful to our short visit. Our room was ample size for us and the bathroom large and airey. The shower was very good which is always good.
Breakfast was a continential treat. Something for everyone. Constant refill coffee and a good standard.
The morning staff were as helpful as the evening staff and couldn't do enough for you.
Would recommend this hotel to everyone and 500 yards to walk to the tower and cathedral was a bonus.

Room Tip: Ask for room 44 for a view of the Tower

We had a wonderful view of the Tower and Duomo from our room. It was fairly basic but very comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We found the breakfast good but lacked the fruit and juices that we had been used to in the previous hotels on our trip. It has a lovely garden and lounge to relax in after sightseeing.
