Lovely 3 star hotel overlooking the Arno. Unbelievably huge bedrooms, really authentic Italian decor. A really beautiful hotel, great location and very affordable. I would highly recommend this place.

Try to combine this trip with a trip to Florence - there's not much to see/do in Pisa except for the Leaning Tower. One night is enough, and the trains to Florence are €6/adult and go every 30 mins. It's only an hour away and there's so much more to do there.

To pay over 100 euros and not be able to sleep due to the noise was downright unpleasant. Apparently the city has a problem with disgruntled youth and from 1 to 3AM drums banged so loud that we were unable to sleep. While the hotel has charm, and its definitely worth renting the bikes, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to get a quiet nights rest.

stayed at this hotel recently for 3 nights. It is an older hotel, but retains its original charm. The Staff are lovely and the buffet breakfast is amazing, everything you could possible want. The hotel overlooks the river and if you are there on a Sunday, the market runs the length of road in front of hotel. The Airport is approx 15 min drive away and station about 20 mins stroll away. The Leaning Tower is amazing and about 15 mins walk away. Lovely Hotel in lovely town.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking river tend to be noisier.

A hotel full of interesting old rooms and charming old furniture and knick knacks to look at. I had booked a room without ensuite, but was upgraded on arrival. The room hada view of a wall, and the bathroom (shower only) was very small - probably done 2 years ago - but it was clean and pleasant. No flat screen TV either ! It was noisy at night (the hotel is on a busy road overlooking the river) and the sounds of students drinking went up after midnight, but it wasn't a problem for me.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, with proper coffee brought to the table. You could order drinks to be served on the 4th floor terrace, which was nice. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the station, and there is a bus stop close by. All in all, a very nice old-fashioned hotel, but probably not for you if you prefer boutique hotels or are a light sleeper.

This hotel is in a great location. Ten minute walk to the Tower. 15 - 20 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast was very nice. The staff was very friendly. For the price we paid, it was a good value. We got a good rate on the room. It has a large bathroom and a decent sized room. The furniture is old and the bed are not so comfy. The biggest complaint was the noise level at night. Our room was apparently just over a bar and it was VERY noisy through the night. Bring your Tylenol PM! I'm not sure if the entire hotel is this way, but our room was certainly very noisy. If you're a light sleeper, think twice. If not, go for it! It was a nice place to stay.

The hotel is brilliantly located, right on the river, and 10 mins from the Tower. My room overlooked an alley which was packed with late-night drinkers, which was very noisy. I asked at reception to change rooms, but was told that the only room available was an extra Euro 55, and I couldn’t have it (even though it was past midnight) unless I paid. As I had a room without a bathroom, I had to go up 2 flights to stairs to get to the common bathroom, which, when I got there, had no water in the shower (apparently this was fixed as I was checking out). Breakfast was good, although there were no hot choices. When I checked out, the manager apologised about the noise, and asked me to write to the Mayor about it as this was a recurring problem for the hotel.

We chose this hotel based on favourable reviews here and the first impression was very positive. A historic palazzo overlooking the Arno, beautifully preserved and decorated inside. Wonderfully quirky layout of stairs corridors and public room. The room though was disappointing and rather cheaply decorated by comparison, the door fitted poorly leaving a crack that would allow people to look in from the hall, the ceiling was deeply cracked and the plumbing is visible in the room. Obviously this is common when adding wiring and plumbing to historic buildings but given the care and attention to detail in the public areas it feels like a little more effort could have been made to hide the modernisation in the rooms. From other reviews it could be that we were just unlucky in the room we got.
The hotel is near a square popular with the local student population at night so it was a little noisy.
