Descent hotel. Close to pisa tower and hence you can visit pisa tower whenever you want. Not too far from train station. rooms are congested, but OK for a night. Lots of good Italian restaurants around. Good interior.

Our family spend christmas holiday in west Europe and stayed in 7 different hotels in 4 countries. We took notes about hotel review after we checked out, to make sure we won’t forget the details. Duomo is the second hotel we stayed. The best thing of this hotel is the location. It is located in the same area of the old town of Pisa tower. Maybe it’s only 200m away from Pisa tower. But my daughter didn’t like this hotel very much, because she felt spooky. Yes this is an old building but it’s been renovated. The elevator look hundred years old with cranky sound while operate, so my daughter choose to go by stair rather than by elevator.
The room is a too dark, and took a few minutes to find the light button. Bathroom towel and bed sheet are white clean. The bed is fine, but a little bit to soft, with also too soft and thin pillow. The breakfast fine for me.

I stayed at this hotel around the end of the year 2012. I had originally planned to say 2 nights, but after the first AWFUL night we changed hotel.
I would like to say to everybody: this is NOT a 4 star hotel as they advertise. I would consider it a 2 star hotel. It's a scam: the pictures on the website do not reflect AT ALL the reality of the rooms and of the hotel. The structure and the inside of the hotel is about 40 years old.
We booked a triple room. When we arrived the room we got was much smaller than what advertised. The bathroom was filthy, hairs everywhere. The towels were of a grey-ish color and smelled bad. We promptly requested another room and were given a room that, in the words of the manager of the hotel, is "one of the best in the hotel". Again, the room was dirty across the board: bed linens, bathroom, bathtub, windows, curtains... the list goes on. In addition there is no sound insulation of any kind. We were woken up by the sounds in the city, but we could also hear very clearly what was going on in the room OPPOSITE to ours....
The advertised rate was 160 per night. After much protesting, I at least got a 50% discount...
The ONLY positive: it's extremely close to the tower.

Stayed here in December with my wife and two teens. The hotel was the best combination of quality and location. Rooms were average sized by Italian standards, but one of the rooms we booked had a distinct musty odor (albeit not prohibitively so). I was disappointed that parking was advertised on the website, but it was not available when I checked in (they said their covered parking was full). Internet was not complimentary. Food at the hotel restaurant was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet was very good. I recommend this hotel as a friendly, safe place to stay, but not for those who need more modern conveniences.

Room Tip: Rooms are old and may smell funny, so you may ask to see a room before moving your luggage to the ro...

The brochure shows rooms very well presented in lovely neutral colours, we had the brown room from the 1970s! The linnen was clean and the room was very large and had a slight peak of the leaning tower over roof tops if you lean out the window. The one thing that really put me off was the dirty bathroom! The bath is very old and worn and the units were all very dusty and covered in hair. There were long black hairs on the side of the bath that hadn't been cleaned off. The water doesn't drain well out the tub when having a shower so it can be slippy. The rooms with the tower view are at the front of the building which fronts a road full of sweet little bars and restaurants, so at night it can be noisy.

A 100m walk to the Leaning Tower which cant be bad, also you can see the top half of the tower when looking out of the windows at the front of the building...although the pulley system shutters that cover the window are not the easiest to open and even harder to close, i think i pulled a muscle in my back doing so.
Hotel rooms are simple but nice, the bath water came out yellow at first and the shower tended to run at the same time when running a bath. TV has english speaking channels.
The hotel bar is nice and the staff friendly. Breakfast was nothing special but filled a hole. seating areas in the hotel are very comfortable.

We stayed here in mid October 2012 for 2 days. Hotel was clean and the staff was great. They answered all of our questions and were very helpful. The roof-top view was amazing. Good location for eats and the Leaning Tower is minutes away. The breakfast was good and the staff was on top of things. The room was nice and clean. The one issue that I had was the "free" internet service was terrible. We could not get any signal in our room and when we went to the lobby it was going in and out.
