Owner description: The Tower of Pisa (180 feet in height) was begun in 1173 and, due to its faulty foundation on unstable soil, leans precariously more than 14 feet out of line, preventing visitors from climbing its 300-plus steps to the top.

I highly recommend going to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa since it really is interesting to see and it is fun to say that you have seen it. I do agree with others that you really only need to see it once. The whole experience is somewhat dampened by all of the souvenir stands and people trying to sell you things, but if you ignore them and just focus on the tower you will enjoy yourself much more.

On a side note, the actual city of Pisa is really nice and enjoyable! Go past the tower and down a ways and you will find yourself just with locals.

Visited Pisa by train when staying in Florence, an experience in itself. Fairly easy walk from the station taking about twenty minutes. Probably the most tourist "tat" stalls in our whole visit. The Tower, which had been closed for several years, is now open but tickets for entry are on a restricted, timed basis not just a queue basis. Our wait was three hours. Not a lot else to see in Pisa other than the Cathedral next to the Tower. A small museum is also located in the immediate area.
