Description: Restaurant where you can find the original old plates of this lovely region, from the old recipe strait on your table. Of course the famous Fiorentina steak is the queen of the restaurant. With a wine list of around 200 wine labels from all round the Tuscany area, where you can find as well someone of the Italian's most famous.

We arrived at Il Campano late in the evening, having hunted it down on the recommendation of our bed and breakfast host.
We ordered a 'secondi' each: minted lamb chops with steamed vegetables and wild boar steaks with roasted vegetables. Both were tasty and plentiful. We also ordered a bottle of red to accompany the meal from the extensive wine list. Although it was one of the least expensive it was of very acceptable quality.
The service was efficient, if unexceptional and the overall experience good, without being particularly memorable.
We enjoyed our visit to Il Campano and felt the bill of 50 euros was reasonable for a meal of this quality in the centre of the city. But is it worth the rave reviews elsewhere? Maybe not, but you could do a lot worse.

Delicious pasta, cheap delicious wine ... Great wine menu with maps showing the regions, at reasonable prices. We had a great bottle @ €12. The homemade tagliatelle with cod or peppers was fantastic. We then had lovely desserts to share. Overall price was €50. Tricky to find but really worth it... Walk over the bridge from the direction of the station towards the Tower, turn first left and its amongst the 2nd square.

Il Campano is a small restaurant, but you could also sit outside. The food is great, especially the cappuccino! It's also not expensive, so definitely worth a try;).

Didn't read trip advisor regarding this restaurant. Looked good from the outside and was busy. My girlfriend and I were found a table without booking, which was a surprise considering just how good this restaurant is. Service was great food was excellent, the bill was amazing.

Using trip advisor as usual we tried to get away from the tourist traps on the main drag. The meal was very good, it was tasty and excellent value for money. We both had 4 courses, including steak, were completely full and had a bottle and a half of wine plus a litre of water. The bill came to £70. There was also a choice of around 300 different wines!!
