Highly recommend staying here if you want some peace and quiet in a magical location with an attentive host - who is also a good cook. Took one point off of sleep quality because I would have liked to find down comforters for this time of year.

My sister and her now husband could have not chosen a more perfect place to celebrate their wedding ceremony with our families & best friends!
Villa La Cappella is beautifully situated near the hills of Lucca and surrounded by olive trees and tuscan wine fields, the view is spectacular!
The outstanding hospitalty and sincere care from owner Emiliano and his team has made our, unfortunately only 5 day stay a very memorable one!
Congratulations and thank you for the experience...we'll be back ;)

What can we say, but WOW! This place was a dream come true. My new wife and I planned our dream wedding, rented out the entire place for a week and invited all of our friends and family to come. They came from the USA and Europe, 50 people in total. 22 of us stayed at the Villa for the week but the place has 3 huge apartments and 5 bedrooms so we had plenty of space to relax.
We hung out by the pool, cooked fabulous dinners each night in the amazing kitchen and sat around for hours. The Carrefour was close enough for us to make trips every few days to stock up the refrigerator. We had the Wedding Ceremony outside near the Chapel, Dinner outside under the Portico and a great party upstairs in the huge living room.
Emiliano was a generous and caring host and his dog Onda was so sweet. He was available to help make any request come true but also respectful of our space. We were missing our own dog and Onda filled the spot for us and most of our guests.
I would highly recommend the Villa if your looking for an unforgettable time... check out our pictures.

We stayed here two nights ago and found this perfect place on top of the hill outside Lucca.
The views a magnificent and not to mention the host and cook Emilino.
This was the best breakfast we have had on our trip through Italy and France so far.

Highly recommend

A wonderful host, a wonderful place. This was a great place to spend a week in company of good friends and family, exceeded all of my expectations. Views breath taking, constantly changing with the sun and the weather. Facilities very good, a great week

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing down the hill, although all of the rooms are superb

I stayed at La Capella a few years back and still talk about it to this day...minutes outside the gorgeous walls of Lucca it was truly another world... The house, a 400 year old Monastery is on a cliff over looking the valley with Lucca I the distance...the house was gorgeous, comfortable, with amazing breakfasts and a beautiful pool.. You come up a winding road that's so unlike anything you'd see here in the states but so very Italian...the church and cemetery onthe way up the hill looks fake, it's all too beautiful to do it justice here...just go and give your self a few days in a magical old house on the hill!!

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the west side of the house, facing the valley..you can sit in the tub at night...

We spent 10 wonderful days at La Capella, for a family reunion of 17 people. It was amazing, the Villa is beautiful and tastefully furnished with all amenities you may require, the view of the Tuscan hills absolutely breathtaking.
Emiliano, the owner, is the most fantastic host and chef you could hope for, he makes you feel right at home and genuinely seems to love having people staying at his villa. Nothing was too much effort and he was always more than willing to arrange transfers, give travel advice and make recommendations. The food during our stay was absolutely divine and there was a wonderful choice of wines too. We had children ranging from 3 years to 18 years old, and all their needs and food requirements were catered for.
The Villa is also very central to visit Pisa and Florence, the seaside town of Viarregio and very close to the medieval town of Lucca.
I would highly recommend La Capella for a visit, and we really do hope to visit again soon!
