We live in Lucca and wanted to try at least ten meals before giving our opinion.
We believe the success of this place is due to the combination of a very imaginative and talented sicilian chef and Pasqualino's wine knowledge plus his friendly, multilingual, attitude towards the customers.
The starters are usually five small original examples of culinary art, the pastas are often unusual, tasty and cooked to perfection, main courses good... if you can still make it!
We very much appreciate Pasqualino's approach to wine: he offers great wines, often from small sicilian producers, at a very reasonable price helping to keep the overall price reasonable.
We only hope that his formula will last over time.
Higly recommended if you like to experiment, if you just want spaghetti bolognese and a steak go somewhere else.
