We had a lovely stay here at Hotel Ilaria. Three of us, including our 15 year old daughter. The room (more an apartment really) was very spacious. She had a bed made up on the double pull out sofa downstairs, and the main bathroom to herself. We had the lovely king bed upstairs with walk in robe and huge ensuite with walk in shower. The staff were fantastic with any of our travel questions. We borrowed bikes from the hotel to ride around the wall a few times, good bikes too.
I can't wait to go back to Lucca, it was the highlight of our month in Europe and I'm glad we spent 6 days here so we could really relax. Lucca is a great base for then venturing out to Pisa, Florence and Sienna etc. Walking around the town is so lovely, you just stroll to all the restaurants each night.
I can't recommend this hotel and town highly enough. Oh, and breakfast was fabulous.
