Clearly proof that if you want good food in Italy, go a step away from the main piazza into somewhere that looks shut. If you try Vineria I Santi you will not be disappointed with the high quality ingredients - I even got excited by the spring onions. The wine list is good too, wielded by a chap who knows what he is doing. The only downside was getting past the waitress who was at best inattentive, at worst a bulldog slurping on a wasp. We were there for lunch, maybe she has warmed up by evening service. However, when we said we'd been there to a local friend, his response was "ah yes, good place but stroppy"
