“Best tower in Lucca!”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

After a wet morning in Lucca our final discovery was Guingi Tower! By now the sun was out and it was a real treat after disappointing visit to another 'enclosed'tower by the cathedral. Well worth €4 each to climb to the top for fantastic views over Lucca in the shade of the trees growing on top! Excellent!

“Worth the effort”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Take it easy and in less than 10 minutes you will be at the top to enjoy the view. WiIl cost you 4 euro each. Open until 7.30pm in September. Come October i believe closing changes to 5.30pm. For me late afternoon is the best time as the light softens. Better for photo taking. We enjoyed taking on the views. Was certainly worth the effort.

“Great views”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

We enjoyed our time at the top of the tower although there are 227 steps (steep) to get up there. The views of Lucca and the surrounding country side are amazing.

“A "must visit" point in Lucca”

Many stairs to climb but the view from the top worth every step.
Don't miss it when in Lucca.

“Well worth the steps up”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

It's a hike to the top - especially with a baby strapped to your back (or my husband's, I should say) but the view is remarkable and love the trees growing from the top.
