This restaurant quickly became our favorite. Interesting selection of local dishes, nice service, acceptable price level, open kitchen where mamma cooks. We've eaten there 3 times there, our best choice was wild boar, rabbit, and chicken. If you're lucky you may find the "antipasti rustico" on the day menu. Make sure you're really hungry when you go for primi+segundi piatti - otherwise you'll be struggling!

The best food we had on our trip to Florence and Pisa. We had the bruschetta, melon and ham, and some kind of pasta with eggplant. Also, some of the bread in the bread basket were particularly good. It was all delicious! Wish we could have gone there again!

Great from start to finish. Great tasting food at reasonable price. nice personable service from everyone this restaurant is not to be missed. 3 mains, 1/2 litre DOCD wine (€6), 2 soft drinks, 1 fizzy water x2 fabulous baskets of bread = €40 excellent value. We're going again tomorrow !

If you're in Fiesole, don't give any other restaurants a look, do yourself a favour and go straight to I'Polpa. Everything they put in front of us was delicious, from the amazing bruschetta to the eggplant stuffed with meatballs, we couldn't get enough, so we went there a second time. The service was faultless and the place feels authentically Tuscan, we were even given a free glass of limoncello! Can't wait to come back to Fiesole on the next trip!

A great experience! The food and service were remarkable. I think it must be family owned. The only cook in the kitchen looked like my Italian grandmother cooking up a storm. We had some conversations with her while she was preparing our meal. We took their recommendations on wine and our meals. The chicken and fig dish was not what I expected, but it was delicious. The desserts were out of this world!!! If you are looking for outdoor seating, have a drink across the street first then enjoy a fabulous dinner here. You can't beat the price either! We were floored when we got the bill. We were expecting to pay much more!
