Nice b and b on the outskirts of Florence, with very welcoming hosts. Note that although it is on a busy main road it is difficult to find. Recommend using the GPS coordinates on the website and make sure you approach on the main road from Florence (not the very narrow secondary road from Maiano.) It is also worth noting that the check-in hours and breakfast hours are quite limited. This wasn't a problem for us, but travelers requiring flexibility might want to check with the hosts in advance.

Some of the other reviewers mentioned chocolates, fresh cut flowers, and fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast. We did not experience this--maybe they are seasonal touches?

This was an absolutely perfect B+B for us. Our room was airconditioned, huge, immaculate with a large well-equipped bathroom. There was a frig and the windows overlooked magnificent Florence. Isabella could not have been more helpful – we received a lovely warm welcome, cups of tea, maps, directions and dinner suggestions. Whilst we were at dinner (eat at Fiesolana but insist on a table in the garden at the back with the locals) Isabella hung up our washing. Breakfast was typical continental, again with views over Florence.

Travelled as a (mature age Australian) couple for all of August 2011 throughout France and Italy by car. Have traveled this way many times before. Stayed at a variety of hotels and B+Bs from 1 to 4 star. Some were booked in advance from Tripadviser reviews, others we found along the way. We seek ‘quaint’ LOCAL lodgings, definitely NOT large, American-style hotels. We don’t care if they speak little English. We don’t want English breakfasts. We prefer to interface with local hosts and guests, not chat in English.

Room Tip: I think they all have the view!

I can't say enough about this B&B. Isabella and her mom were fantastic. The building is a beautifully renovated villa perched on a perfect hill overlooking the best Firenze has to offer. We were very late arriving while driving and Isabella helped us with directions and welcoming us well past an appropriate time. The unique touches to the villa are many and were all appreciated. Cold drinking water, sweet night chocolates, clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, smiling faces, clear directions, perfect nearby bus stop and many other amenities. The grounds were lovely. The only drawback was that it felt a little more like a hotel than a B&B in it's perfection. This wasn't a problem for us though. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to be back someday.

As a BB connoisseur I can with no doubt state that this is one of the best places I have stayed in. The rooms were cozy yet equipped with modern comforts, the view was breathtaking and the breakfast mouthwatering. One can immediately tell that the management goes an extra mile to please guests in every detail such as fresh cut flowers on the tables and laundry fresh cotton sheets in the beds.
I strongly recommend you stay in Villa Miralunga I know I’m defiantly going back

Great B&B, beautiful views, great host, great location. Easy bus into Florence - 10 mins. Slightly tricky to spot on main road when driving from Florence by car. Would definitely go back.

Villa Miralunga and Isabella made our first trip to Florence all the more wonderful and memorable. Our room had a great view over Florence and we loved waking up in the morning opening up the window with a great view over the Dom and Florence area. Our room was very clean and the shower booth is a little tight, but it was expected and normal in Europe. Isabella was very friendly and she tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
We had a little difficult time when we tried to get there using bus, because it was very dark and hard to find out what was the right bus stop to get off. On the website, it says the villa is 20m in front of the bus stop "Regresso 2", but from the train station, you would get off at the bus stop "Regresso 1" (there is only one bus stop starting with "Regresso") This stop is where most of tourists staying in Fiesole area get off. Then you would just walk down the hill and it will lead you to the entrance to Villa Miralunga. But, Isabella was kind enough to come out to welcome us and after that, we had no problem using the bus and getting to/from Florence.
I also loved the breakfast Isabella prepared for us each morning. Freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning is a great start!! If I go back to Florence again, I would definitely stay in Villa Miralunga!!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Villa Miralunga for a week at the end of July and it was a wonderful experience. The website is very helpful and Isabella, the owner, was prompt at replying to my email queries.
On the day of our arrival we were running late and I could not contact the villa by telephone to let them know but there was no problem, Isabella's mother was waiting for us and despite her lack of English and my lack of Italian she could not have been more welcoming.
The villa itself is beautiful, a large building occupied by the family on the upper floors and with four ground floor bedrooms making up the B&B. We had the first room and it was far better than the website pictures had suggested - spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished with a large wardrobe, television, fridge and a lovely ensuite bathroom.
Breakfast was excellent with a selection of teas, fruit, cereal and rolls along with a simple plate of cheese and ham. More important was the beautiful coffee and orange juice, both made on the spot by Isabella.
The village of Fiesole is ten minutes' uphill walk from the villa with a couple of lovely restaurants, the best of which Isabella was happy to point out. Fiesole is an excellent alternative to staying in Florence as it is quieter, uncrowded and has amazing views of the city. The bus stop is right outside the villa from where it is only twenty minutes into Florence city centre, with great views on the way downhill. Isabella has bus tickets for sale.
The view from our room was not perfect but was more than made up for by that from the breakfast room or by strolling up the road for an astonishing panorama of the city and surrounding hills. There was also more traffic than expected on the road outside but it was in no way a problem.
Isabella could not have been more charming or helpful, giving us advice on where to go and looking up train timetables before I even had the chance to ask her.
Overall this was a wonderful holiday experience and I could not recommend this B&B highly enough.
