“Loved the room!”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

The room decor was tasteful and what we would expect of a stay in Italy/Florence. The hosts were helpful and warm. The breakfast (specifically the eggs and coffee) were excellent! The overall stay experience is really fantastic and we would have loved to stay here longer.

When we arrived we were surprised to see a tiny door flanked by two trees as the entrance. It was literally blocks from the Duomo and walking distance to the train station. We LOVED this place. The rooms were huge and very nicely appointed. Very clean and modern. The decorations are great and the lighting was perfect. The couple that runs the place are super friendly and take pride in offering great customer service. We only had 1 night booked but liked it so much we ended up booking again and canceling the other place. She even held our luggage while we went biking thru the hills of Tuscany for 3 nights. It was reasonably priced and the breakfast was HUGE. Tons of food and healthy. We got a nice upgrade to the bigger room with access to the garden courtyard. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone who likes to be on their own but have staff available if need be. She recommended good shopping and restaurants. Cant wait to visit them again!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are huge! and clean and the bathrooms are great!

Great hotel located minutes away from everything! Big rooms, kitchenette, closet, wifi, safe in room, clean (amazing actually) bathroom!

The staff, Blerina and husband, will go above and beyond for you. Blerina is a pleasant, knowledgeable and we knew that any request would be met with a smile!

The breakfast was delivered whenever we requested and was always hot and delicious.

Room Tip: We were in room #2 and loved it. Check wifi and ask for room with 100% service if that's importa...

This was the best hotel stay on our entire trip. I've been to Italy several times, and been to many different hotels. This was by far the best hotel! Starting with the size of the suites, they are very large by European standards, even by American standards! They were beautifully painted and very comfortable, to include the sofa bed. We had a separate dining area, where breakfast was served each morning, with more than enough to eat. We asked for extra coffee, and it was no problem. Blerina and her husband Mirand were fantastic hosts from start to finish. There are plenty of close restaurants nearby, as well as a small wine/sandwich shop around the corner that we loved. The small kitchenette was great, since we were fighting off colds and drank hot tea non stop. I can't say enough good things about this place. The price was very good compared to places with the same amenities. I'll never stay anywhere else while in Florence!!

Excellent in all respects. From the moment we arrived, the manager Blerina, along with her husband Mirand, made sure our visit to Florence was special. She asked about whether or not we had reservations at the most important museums, and gave us suggestions on other sites to visit. Blerina also helped us with restaurant reservations, boarding passes, and taxis. Breakfast was served (and a nice one it was) when we decided and in our room in our separate dining area. The hotel is very clean and well managed. It is on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the Firenzesuite after looking on-line and carefully choosing between the many hotels but settled on this one mainly due to location, size, price and reviews. When my partner and I arrived, we were very impressed by the large beautiful rooms and location. It's about an 8 minute walk to the Duomo which is pretty central. Breakfast was served in the room in your partitioned off breakfast area, which is a real treat. Very private and nice affair with good selection of things to eat. You won't be hungry by the end of it! Service was great and the hotel really couldn't do enough for us - even booking some attractions for us.

The entrance is unassuming, off a side street maybe 10 minutes walk from the Duomo. The manager lives on site and I believe there are fewer than 10 rooms. The hotel is quiet but charming. Breakfasts are individually prepared and brought to the room. Food was quite good. The room was extremely spacious (we had the one pictured above, with the soaring, hand painted ceiling. Not shown in the picture was a door out to a private small yard. There was a nice round table for breakfast and looking at maps, a large couch and chair like in a living room and a small "kitchen" area with a fridge and sink. No cooking facilities, but a nearby grocery had fun prepared food for the night we didn't feel like going out after a big dinner. The manager is great and very accommodating-I used her computer since I had not brought mine. Not enough pillows on the bed but she immediately brought two more when asked. The room was spotless. This is a delightful base to visit one of the nicest cities in Rome.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with only 2 people, ask for the room in the picture; the garden is a nice extra...
