Perseus has a great atmosphere and reminds you of an American steakhouse. Our party was greeted at the door and seated promptly, without reservations at 8PM. They serve a large
vegetable center piece as a standard fare.
We had an assortment of appetizers which were very tasty and fresh. The osso buco risotto, made with beef and not veal, was different but tasty. Our fried veggies were crisp and not very greasy.
The meal and service was going well until the "Fiorentina" arrived. It was quickly noted that there was no tenderloin on the bone, just the larger strip side. The craved steak was very tasty but was very grizzly. It was not up to the Fiorentina we had become a custom to at multiple restaurants during our month in Firenze.
The poor steak might have been a fluke, but it was what it was. The restaurant has a good reputation among the locals, and if frequented by them. We will try Perseus again and will update the review if needed.
