Description: Being only a few steps away from the historical center of Florence, Le Antiche Carrozze restaurant is an ideal place for those who want to stop to have a meal close to the best touristic attractions of the Tuscan main city or after shopping day. Here, looking out to Piazza Santa Trinita, you will be able to taste typical dishes of the Tuscan cuisine or a delicious pizza baked according to the Neapolitan tradition. Le Antiche Carrozze in Florence is one of the most traditional restaurants of Florence (since 1875) and it is waiting for you only a few steps away from Ponte Vecchio to offer you sweet moments of taste and relax. Great "warm" location, specific cuisine from Tuscany region. Antipasti as well bistecca Fiorentina, forno al legno for pizza, excelent wine list, very nice staff.

“Romantic Atmosphere & Excellent Food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed a great dinner at Le Antiche Carroze. We asked if we could split a pasta dish, penne arrabiata, and our waiter graciously agreed. This was followed by veal scallopine and white beans for me, and a delicious pizza for my husband. Servings were generous, presentation beautiful and attentive service. There were lighted candles on the table, and we were seated right across from the Ferragamo store housed in an old medieval building. Very atmospheric!

“Cozy Trattoria in Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

It was pouring cats and dogs so we slipped into this cozy trattoria, near our hotel for an early dinner. We were not disappointed! We were promptly seated in the packed cafe of old world charm and had a fantastic meal with wine. It was simply romantic!

“Good food, consistent service, not overly touristy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

We ate at this place twice during our stay in Florence. BOTH TIMES WE ENJOYED THE FOOD. And the service, while not stellar, was consistent and relatively prompt. The special sized wine (1/2 litre) was perfect for lunch and reasonably priced. Coffee and water were not highway robbery as they were at other places in Florence. The location is right next to Salvatore Ferragamo museum, shopping, and lots of churches.

FOOD: 4
Try the special tagliatelle pasta of the house. Yum!

DECOR: 4
Quaint and Tuscan feel without being overly touristy.

SERVICE: 3
Consistent but not stellar.

VALUE: 4
Great prices and specials. You would have to try very hard to have a meal for two, including wine and coffee, for over €60.

“Good atmosphere & value”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

We (3 friends) went for dinner and were seated immediately in the cozy restaurant. We shared the Bistecca alla Fiorentina and the waiter asked how we wanted the meat cooked and we answered medium. However, when the meat arrived it was completely raw and we asked to have it cooked more. The waiter seemed a little bit annoyed by that and the side orders of roasted potatoes and vegetables just sat on the table while the meat was cooked more.
When the meat finally came back it was still a bit on the raw side but it tasted delicious and was really tender. We did have to order an extra round of potatoes and vegetables, because there was definitely not enough for 3 people even though we had explicitly asked the waiter about that.

We did enjoy our meal and had a good time. The service was efficient but not that friendly.

“Very pleasant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2013

This small and crowded place was recommended at our nearby hotel and we were very glad we went there to eat whilst in Florence.
We arrived late and looking at the queue decided it would be a long wait but were pleasantly surprised to get in quickly, albeit sharing a table with strangers (who turned out to be very pleasant company)
Our orders arrived quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed the Tuscan food, which was tasty and filling.
