Description: La Beppa Fioraia is the Osteria at Erta Canina. The place of palate's enjoyment, mind's relaxation, heart and lungs'fun. The starting point are the ingredients of Tuscan cuisine, but we do not settle for the tradition: for this reason we try a lot of new things and suggest you only the most surprising. We prepare the best dishes for who passes from Erta Canina with the desire to spend best time in Florence.

Very good mixed taglieri and pizza. Location is worth alone since if you eat outside you'll feel like you are outside Florence. If you are with a large group you may want to book or get there early.

“Best meal in Florence in an original setting!”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

What a meal! Wife of a chef and hard to please foodwise. This dinner was the best I have had in a long time, and the very best that I had in Florence. Started with the Gnochetti di patate con pesto de fiori di zucca - zucchini flower pesto (I'm a gnocchi lover and this had to be the best I've ever had) and then had the Bis di tartare di manzo (two types of beef tartare served with egg and cucumber creme). Husband had a beautiful sardine and lemon pasta and a beef salad on arugula with peccorino. Unfortunately no time for dessert since we had to give up our table by 9:30 pm which was the deal we made to get a table. Too bad. Super flavourful, friendly service and very original setting - not formal, but relaxed and easy going atmosphere. You must ask to be seated outdoors (see photos) - the cutest area at the back of the restaurant. Simple setting, real food and down to earth service - my definition of a great experience.

We were able to get a table outdoors at this restaurant since we arrived a bit earlier to beat the dinner rush. Reservations recommended. This place is very popular. A must try, in the Oltrarno district, near San Niccolo - where most of the tastier options in Florence were found!

“Excellent food in a nice, alternative mood”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

This Young restaurant continues proposing its classic winning formula, combining fresh atmosphere with first quality food from Tuscany, professionality in service and reasonable prices. The only minus: it is a little bit too noisy when crowded.

excellent dining opportunity, do ask for a table outside in the garden (or even better: make a reservation for a table in advance), it's really lovely :)

Friendly staff, great food!

food tip: try any of the tagliere with fresh vegetables and dipping sauces (think pesto for instance), they're truly yummy.

I would return to this place anytime when I'm back in Florence, that says enough doesn't it ;)

“Where Italians eat”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Asked the hotel reception for an authentic Tuscan restaurant near Piazzale MIchelangelo and they advised me to go here, just below the Piazza. It's a quite large place and I don't think I could see or hear any non-Italians in there. Service was ok, and food basic but tasty. The typical antipasto, talgiere, had all sorts of pickled veggies, salumi, cheeses, and other goodies. The Gnocchi al Pesto was a little too oily for my taste, but good flavor. Recommended for those looking for a down to earth place where Italians eat in Firenze (Florence).
