“Disappointing”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

I've been here three times now, and on every occasion the chicken with a yogurty sauce with green bits in it (I forget its actual name) was delicious. Everything else was a disappointment, including the 'fabled' kebabs. The hummus, baba ghanush etc were all fairly tasteless (oh no, sorry, they did taste.... of salt!). A weird thing is that all the second courses are served with some kind of seasoned rice, but there's no consistency and you can't choose. The result is that the first time some of our friends were served deliciously seasoned rice (which they kindly let us taste) while we got plain white rice. The next time we made sure we ordered the dishes our friends had ordered the time before so we'd get the seasoned rice, but... whaddya know... we got white rice again, while they got different kinds of seasoned rice! Must be our faces... Sadly, the house wine wasn't nice either. As for the loos (a restaurant's "visiting card", so they say)... revolting! And be warned, they claim to take credit cards but every time I've been their machine just "happens not to be working", which means traipsing around looking for an ATM...

“Nice atmosphere”

Good falfel and nice not touristy atmosphere. The hummus and baba were way too salty for my taste so a little disappointing for two vegans looking for some variety in florence.

“Good cafe for vegetarians”
Reviewed August 31, 2010

We went to this cafe couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Try the thai rice and falafel were the best vegetarian options. Very friendly staff and food is very affordable.
