The apartment was super clean, well-appointed so that for a longer stay you could cook, clean, etc. (we stayed a week) - but the best aspect was the location. First - maybe tops five minutes to the Uffizi/ Piazza della Signoria , Palazzo Vecchio, etc.,. Same amount of time to the Ponte Vecchio, and only 8 to 10 minutes north to the Duomo. The location is absolutely in the thick of everything to which you would walk.. Additionally, it was a residential street, so the partying students and tourists were not directly outside your door. That being said, all the restaurants, shopping, and a supermarket were just a cross street away. Wifi was great (I worked mornings). There was a locking gate a few steps down from the front door so you were very safely tucked away. The only "cons": if you are older, bad knees - or just hate steps - there were 45 of them winding up to your door. Well lit and solid, we thought this was 100% fine and gave a little height to the apt. which we liked. Also, the picture doesn't lie; the bathroom is well equipped, modern, super clean, and extremely narrow. While sitting for business my husband's knees were against the wall. These are small points and not a reflection of the apartment itself, with otherwise good-sized rooms, cranking AC and additional fans in the bedrooms. Heaven. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend the apartment. Easy check-in/check-out; Sara was very nice.
