Florence's most famous restaurant. Phenomenal service, incredible wine list. You will even get a footstool to perch your handbag on so it doesn't touch the floor. Dinner and a bottle of wine for two was $700 and worth it

Having not eaten here for 20 years, the prices have changed somewhat, particularly the wine list! But overall a wonderful experience. The 7 course tasting menu was well balanced and delicious. The atmosphere although formal, was relaxed and hospitable. If you want to treat yourself to one of the best places to eat in Italy, this is still the one. A tour of the kitchen afterwards was a treat. 18 - 26 staff in the kitchen brigade alone!

Abandoned any resistance and laid ourselves in the gracious care of the team at Enoteca Pinchiorri - and so glad for having done so. Food was truly sublime, our serving team was professional - without being "stiff" and really opened up after dinner was complete and we really had opportunity to engage them. Proudly - justifiably so - toured us through the kitchen and wine cellar after dinner. After dining in many 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants, Pinchiorri is certainly special.

In fact if you look closely enough at the painting, you'll probably see da Vinci painted a very small bottle of Chateau Haut- Brion... & even if that isn't true at all, you will absolutely believe you've died and gone directly to heaven after your dining experience here!!

So this is a phenomenal, interesting, true dining "experience". Fanatical wine enthusiasts will never think this restaurant is overpriced!! There is just no price for a wine experience like this because you will travel the world over and be hard pressed to find another one! Having said that, you decide what your budget is and then they will help maximize your wine experience at whatever level is comfortable to you. That's what is so very special about this place, the level of expertise is about untouchable to mere mortals & they want you to have as great and perfect an experience as you want for yourself! It's very hard to find that anywhere anymore... We've done this several times and in some instances with guests where an over the top wine experience may go somewhat wasted, we didn't overly splurge and it was just as wonderful as the times we did. (OK, well, almost as wonderful) So perhaps you decide what your dinner and wine budget is for a phenomenal night out or you just decide what your budget is for your entire trip to Italy, and then you spend all of it on this one restaurant and will still NEVER regret one dime!!The history of this restaurant is so cool -you decide on your wine menu first... the food is pared with the unbelievably well thought out wine list. You can choose anything from the affordable and interesting to the "I may die tomorrow" so, I have to go all the way, once in a lifetime wine & dining experience, which is what we did~ (because truly you never know- do you?!) The early '80's Bordeaux wines were of course incredible highlights but they had wonderful surprises along the way also and the professionalism and service here is so old school and ultimately the definition of "proper". (On a side note, guys do not forget your coat or they will provide one for you!) Everything you eat here is great. On several trips and listening to many guest we've invited along, there has literally not been one complaint about the food. Having said that, the food is still second to the wine and the wine experience.

To top the whole thing off, we were thrilled that Mr. Pinchiorri himself was there and as perfect, gracious and lovely as he could possible be! He did not demonstrate walking on water, but I wouldn't put it past him!!

Highest marks for you Sir & your entire staff! Grazie un milione.. Cent'anni e Buon Appettito!!!

Enoteca Pinchiorri is a very good restaurant. The food is exquisite, carefully prepared, artfully presented, technically complex and surprising, and very tasty. The degustation menu is very satisfying. The service is expertly attentive. The wine list is extensive and there are multiple matched wine menu options for the degustation. The decor and ambience are appropriate. Highlights for us of the taste of winter menu included: the squid with pumpkin and coffee jelly, the bread spaghetti with burratta, cheese and anchovies; mackerel encased in squid ink paste; the deconstructed Cremina and, the after eight. All wonderful.

Compared to other restaurants of its caliber and price range, however, the staff are not nearly engaged enough, not being able or willing to describe the wines, which aren't really matched to the meal, just approximately so. The showmanship often associated with the presentation of food is absent. Almost trivially, but jarringly, the restrooms are incongruously rustic.

I have been to other world-class restaurants that managed to deliver more for less.
